How am I a "wanna be elitist"? I don't think I'm elite in any way. But if I am going to complete an end game activity, I will ask for people that have similar or more experience than me. With 128 raid completions since launch day, I don't want to be playing with someone who has 0. If I want to play with someone like that, I would post an LFG as a Sherpa and offer to help new players, which I have.

Anyone who would even consider booting someone based on light level alone, especially when that level is WAY above what is needed is a wanna be. There are clear exceptions, but this isn't one. A 290 will struggle like crazy to survive at Oryx, granted...but anyone 305+ can do the fight, perhaps even lower with some help. We all did it the first few weeks, and I've helped plenty since then.

Still doesn't change the fact that it's my group and my requirements. If a 305 makes a group and says 305+, they might be considered elitist to those that are not 305+.

Not remotely, it is fairly well understood that 305+ is considered "fair" for HM. Enjoy your groups. Speaking for myself, I would never reply to that post, nor did I ever reply to a "must have max GH", because to me that has proven itself over and over to mean "We can't do it otherwise."
