"Sire, Oortis has showed much skill today, he killed a fallen captain" "Really? Are you sure, because I just took a fallen captain" "Well tha- wait, what?" "I took that captain" The Knights were embarrassed, Oryx could tell. "Well, wel, we'll go then." The Knights then stood up and walked out. -------------- I awoke, but my body didn't. I was able to open my eyes, but I couldn't move. I looked around, no chains held me, no ropes. I was taken, and I knew it. I looked around and I saw a knight, with paint over his bony armor, signifying his rank. I stared and he saw. "Your awake, good...." The knight said. "You must be wondering why you can open your physical eyes, eh? The reason is that Oryx has taken you, but shall allow you freedom with your body, with limits of course." ~Freedom? What is Oryx doing?~ I thought. "So, you will be allowed by Oryx to have control of your entire body once I'm done" After the knight said that my body shook with energy, I lifted up my arm and then the other. I opened my mouth and spoke. "I, I can move" "Yes, now Oryx wishes to see you" "Ok" I got off the rock I was on and headed to the throne room of Oryx. -later- I opened the door and walked inside. I wasn't shivering, why? I approached Oryx and I bowed. "Ah, Skintar, finally you can see why joining me wasn't bad, for the soldiers of my taken army they do not understand, that's why they resist but you, you I trust." "Why me, after all I did to escape?" "Because, even if you resist, I can control your body, so I can take chances" "Very well, what's my taken name, King?" "Your name shall be, Skintar Sword of Oryx" The night answered Oryx's words, they shot out and all the hive heard and chanted for their new Exalted. Chapter 26 I was on my first mission with Oryx's taken. At least I had some dignity, I was leading, this was good. I was cutting down Legionnaire after legionnaire. Chopping them down with my swords. Serving Oryx wasn't my original intention, but right now with the control he has over me, what choice do I have? I'm not his slave, I'm not his pawn, I'm just a commander in his army, obeying orders and commands. And I enjoyed it. I wanted to get back, escape and be a true Elinski again, but how could I? With him watching over me carefully I couldn't even hesitate to bring the killing blow. I ran to a legionnaire, my thoughts rushing away as fast as I was sprinting. Leaping onto him, I stabbed into his pressurized helmet, air leaking out quickly. He dropped as I ran to the next one. Stabbing him in his thigh, he fell down in pain and I quickly stabbed through his heart, killing him. I looked around, all the cabal were dead. I stood, looking at my last kill and as I stood, a shadow of Oryx appeared behind me. "Well done my sword" He said "Thankyou, what do you command?" "Take out Val'au'urn, he's inside the cabal beachhead." "Yes, Oryx" I replied. With that he disappeared out of sight. --------------- Phantom made it to the tower from Venus. After that Elinski's betrayal, he had to make it back to the tower by himself. He should have known! Of all the creatures in the solar system, don't trust an Elinski. He hopped out of his ship to see the shipwright "Good trip?" "Well, could have been better" phantom replied. "Alright, we'll have it fixed up for you in a jiff'" phantom continued into the main courtyard. He needed his weapon fixed, he was gonna drop it off at the gunsmith. He walked up the stairs to the gunsmith and dropped his gun off. "Damage?" The gunsmith asked. "Got hit a few times by rocks." "Alright, I'll get it fixed and you should have it back by Wednesday" with that Phantom headed back to his ship.
