I want to do my hair up as a Warrior's Wolf Tail like Sokka from Avatar: TLA, and as kind of a tribute to my Native American ancestry. But my GF thinks that they look stupid, so I'm not going to.

Like long hair but shaved on the sides? That's how my hair is 😄 sidecuts all the way. With my full back piece it looks killer. Hehehe.
