Chapter 15: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/196295038
----------------------------------
“Shit, crap, shit, crap, shit, crap!” Sasha chanted under her breath as she ran along a gatelord’s arm.
“Low on ammo… leg bruised to hell…” Sasha used her jump pack. She leapt to the glowing red eye of the gigantic vex. “I should be okay.”
She plunged an axe directly into the eye and pulled it from its socket. The gatelord winced in pain. Well, if they could experience pain.
“Sasha! Look out!” Harrol fired SGA into the elbow joints of the incoming arm.
Sasha pulled her Hawkmoon from its holster. Unluckily, she was swatted off the head. Hawkmoon went flying.
“Aw, c’mon!” Sasha yelled as she landed, bashing her shoulder. “Ghost, you’re really not helping right now!”
“This is a darkness zone!” He retorted, defending himself.
“Is that even a thing, or are you just lazy!?” Sasha dodged a punch. The fist shattered the vex stones around her.
“Um…” Ghost looked around for a distraction. “Hey! Lookit that!” She set a waypoint to Sasha’s Hawkmoon, teetering in the edge of the blocky stones leaning over the edge.
“Oh, no no no no, no!” Sasha pulled her axes from her hip. “Zara, could you get that, or are you busy?”
Zara looked up from a magazine and lifted her sunglasses. “What?” She tumbled out of her beach chair. “What did I miss?”
“Zara, not in the mood for your bullcrap right now!” Sasha deflected a void burst.
The Taken Guardian sighed, then teleported to the Hawkmoon, placed it into Sasha’s hands, and fell back into her seat with a huff.
Sasha looked at the weapon that was placed in her hands.
“ZARA, THIS IS A ROCK!” Sasha looked back to the edge. Her Hawkmoon was gone.
“GAAAGH!” Sasha lugged the rock directly at the gatelord’s knee joint.
The rock got stuck in the pistons and the gatelord’s knee creaked, and then shattered. It fell to the ground with a crash, its white belly smashed and oozing.
Sasha grunted, held her side and picked up the red eye she tossed to the side. It had a long crack from where her axe hit it.
“Welp. Looks like we got what we came for.” She tossed it up and caught in her other hand. She hooked it around her belt, and noticed her missing weapon.
“That reminds me.” Sasha looked at Zara, her golden visor seeming to glow with heat.
Zara lifted her sunglasses and swung her portable chair over her shoulders. “Hey, I gave you a weapon, didn’t I?”
“That’s not the point! What were you even doing!?”
She pulled the sunglasses down a bit. “Picking my vacation spot. Supposedly, Mercury is a cool place.” She glanced at her travel magazine.
“I thought you decided not to leave!”
Zara shrugged. “I had to come up with the money! Crucible is fun, but doesn’t make for a good living. And my current diet isn’t exactly the cheapest thing either.”
Sasha scowled, crossing her arms. “Look, I know you’ve gone through some rough shit lately, but that’s no excuse to just run.”
Zara dropped the chair with a clatter, and whipped off the shades. Harold began to slowly back away, arms raised in close surrender.
Sasha popped her knuckles.
Zara rolled her neck.
“Ahem.” Ralph interrupted awkwardly, extending a bowl covered in plastic wrap. “Uh… make gumbo, not war?”
Zara snorted, and making the quote signs with her fingers said, “Gumbo. Sureeee, master chef.”
Harrol took a handful out of the bowl and ate it. “Mrrf- this is good.”
“Thanks. An Exo back at the tower raided most of my supply, but I made do with what I had.” Zara snapped, snatching the bowl from Ralph.
Harrol swallowed. “But- why would an Exo even eat?” Harrol looked down and scratched his chin. “How would they even eat…”
Sasha pushed past him and put her visor right in front of Zara’s face.
“Thanks to you, I’m now gunless.” Sasha grunted and whipped around. “...got that weapon from Taniks. Might as well be homeless, now…” She trudged off, mumbling under her breath.
Harrol clapped his hands. “Wait! Maybe they convert foodstuffs into energy! K’now, like how a ship uses gas, or how a human uses-” He looked around.
“Hey, where’d everyone go?”
|======================|
Sasha tweaked the gun she had bought to replace her Hawkmoon.
“C’mon, you jackass…” Sasha twirled a screw around.
“Who the hell uses these things?” Sasha held up her new fusion rifle. “They basically shoot peas!”
“I dunno, some people have been saying they’re amazing.” Harrol ate a bite of cereal. “Some of them are saying we should tone down their power.”
Jaik poked his head up from his doggie bowl. “But… why would you purposefully hinder your performance in combat?” His ears twitched, and dug right back in.
Sasha held the weapon, and aimed it. “From some of the diagrams I have in my helmet, I could probably modify this thing to shoot one continuous beam.” Sasha set it on the table. She lifted a coffee mug. “Would take a while, and maybe a better workshop, but I could do it.”
“You could ask Zara’s friend if you could borrow hers.”
“Myra? I dunno, that chick is pretty crazy.”
“C’mon, how bad could it be?”
|======================|
Sasha stood in front of the weathered shack Myroni-213 lived in.
“Wow. This place looks like shit.”
She stepped inside.

HOLY SHIT
IT FEELS SO GOOD TO WRITE AGAIN
Sorry if this chapter feels a little short, but the next arc will be quite a doozy. It’ll be another House of Scar type arc, and this chapter may of had a couple of foreshadows…
*cough*focusandyou’llfindthem*cough*
Not talkin’ bout vacations, ‘cause that’s not even a foreshadow. It’s just blatant.
So, anyway, Zebra and I hoped you enjoyed this chapter, and we’ll see you in the next one.
