I am posting to ask those of you well versed in the lore of Destiny to help me figure something out. I really want to know if Taniks was once a part of the Fallen House of Scar(If that was an actual house).
If not the answer to that, I wish to know what the symbol on his cloak(and found throughout the game) translates to, or at least...which fallen house it belongs to.
I am asking this because I am a large fan of Taniks, the Eliksni, and the lore surrounding them. If i were to attempt a sort of "in my own head" RP for my own character, I would like to have my hunter possibly wish to integrate himself into Eliksni culture(though Judgment is the only friendly house left ... a sort of mimicry of their former ways is what I am going for). The story of Chelchis and his stand against Oryx drove me to collect the Corsair's revenge, soon hopefully updated Kellhunter gear, as well as other Eliksno themed gear(Cloak of Taniks etc).
I kind of have come to love the Eliksni as I do/did the Sangheili. One hope is the ability to play as one in Destiny 2(like that will ever happen). Regardless, if anyone can shed any light on the symbol, taniks, and the house of scar dilemmas I would be greatly appreciative. If no light can be shed, suggestions for a name of a new house would be grand... for Guardians who wish to devote their time to helping Variks and House Judgment bring the Fallen together, and back to their noble ways. Mimicking and paying tribute to their culture and styles.

Edited by NuclearDuke805: 4/11/2016 4:54:26 AMI'm no expert, but I think he doesn't have a house like Variks said. The House of Scar was indeed real and they fought with another house (Winter or Wolves or Devils I can't remember) Taniks is a gunman for hire. An Eliksni Merc. So if House of Rain (destroyed during the Whirlwind) hired Taniks in the past, he's serve HoR. If the Scar hired him, he'd serve HoS and so on. I guess it just depends on how you look at it. As for his cloak, I don't know. I like to think he scavenged it when he assassinated another Fallen for a contract.
