I figured out how to change player models in this game yesterday. So I had a bit of fun and placed my own head on a model. That looked hilarious. Seeing my own face in a game, heh..
Anyway, since I am a huge fan of the Worms series and that I often draw them, I decided to draw my own Worm character for Spelunky! Boggy B!
I started today basically. I am still doing the sketches for each frame. Once I flesh all that out I will draw them digitally in Paint Sai.
My progress can be seen in the picture above.
It's a lot of fun to do actually. It will be quite tough to draw all frames perfectly though, but I will try my best.
Maybe there are some Worms and Spelunky fans here who would love this skin when it is finally done.
Finishing it might take a while though. But, I have two weeks off of school in 2 weeks, so I'll have lots of time to dedicate to this project then.
I just got so excited that I wanted to show these sketches on here. I wonder what you guys think of this idea. :3

The walk cycle. Actually the crawl cycle, but.. oh.. well... ^__^

For anyone who doesn't know. This is the sheet that the game Spelunky uses to identify the texture of player models. By replacing these you can make your own player model texture. It's what I am doing right now! :D I've been sketching more today and wanted to try and draw the walk/crawl cycle in the game. When I walk in the game now it looks near perfect with how fluid it should go. Now that I nailed that down, I will make the lines a bit better and color it better. But hey, progress! :D Nearly done with all sketches of the frames too for the worm. Only the last 3 rows on that sheet remain.

I like i really like!

Made 1 frame to see what the colors would need to look like in-game. It's pretty neat to see my own creation inside this wonderful game. :D
