There are feels ahead, and a legitimate message for anyone who reads this. If you do not want feels, or a legitimate message, read no further.
Over the past couple years, I have watched, and gotten to know, some really great people on here. Many of which I'd actually want to meet. It is really wonderful that such a great community has grown here, even if some might say that this community has stagnated.
There is something that troubles me, though. Users seem to disappear over the years. For example, BioSmiley isn't as active as he was just a few months ago, and has all but disappeared (outside of group chat). People have even thought I left as well, after periods of inactivity.
There is a certain beauty to simply fading away. People will always remember you for what you left behind and what you said, and you will be immortalized in the text on these forums.
However, given the fact that Depression is the worst thing afflicting the upcoming generations, the beauty of fading away suddenly turns very grim. People disappear, yes, but why? I got to thinking that lately, and the possibilities left me happy, or in a very grim mood.
I shudder to imagine how many people on this forum disappeared because of death, or potentially worse, suicide.
I care very much for those I have met on this forum, and other people I have yet to meet. You may be skeptical, but I genuinely wish the best for you all.
I know that many people here are battling Depression, and I know a few personally. I know it can be hard to deal with, and that I may not know what you're going through, but I want you to know that someone cares for you, even if it is someone else putting text onto an Internet forum. Be strong, because you can beat it.
I also would like to say, if you gotta talk to someone, you can always talk to your friendly forum Sunbro.
Have a good day everyone, and always remember to Praise the Sun!
