I have Elite Dangerous on the Xbox One but it just feels like the real ED community is on PC. I was considering purchasing the deluxe (or whatever comes with the game and horizons) and really getting into it. My question: are there is the type of large scale clans and structure that I'm thinking of on the PC? Should I just stay on Xbone and wait for horizons there, if so, why?
Edit 1: I have bought ED Deluxe edition on steam. I have been doing some research while I'm waiting for it to download and is Horizons already out on PC?? If anyone wants to play then add me on steam (psychicdonuts).
Thank you for your time.

http://inara.cz This site would be the best way to find PC players. I'm happy to see the Archive being mentioned, but I'll be the first to admit we're biased towards Xbox, and have few PC players. On that Inara site you should make an account, and just look around. Post in the introductions thread, explain your situation just as you did here. Check out the wings, those are your private groups. The Archive is always here if you have more questions. LFG is a small part of what we do currently.

Elite on PC is one of the greatest gaming experiences you can have! Get a full hotas setup and an oculus rift and it will blow you away! Unfortunately for me that was all that could hold my attention with that game, but if you actually enjoy the game that amount of immersion will have you hooked for life!

You are on the ED archive if I recall. Why don't you ask them?

Well, I'm not seasoned, but I'm in PC. Actually, I take that back, I am pretty seasoned. As in
salty
You should join the group on Bnet called ED Archive. It's basically the only ED group here. I'm in it, but I haven't played the game or payed attention to the chat for months. This summer I'm planning on picking up the game again and getting myself good enough to fight in the civil war and travel across the galaxy...there's a lot of cool shit out there!

After hijacking my brother's PC for a month, I can say that I feel rather Seasoned with ED. Makes me hope that they add similar social features to No Man's Sky.

Me? Oh no I'm no good at all. But on the Xbox One I don't really ever meet any competition
