Confirmed: Bungie's developers have never played in Trials of Osiris or Iron Banner. They have also likely never been hit by a Firebolt with Viking-Funeral activated.
Look, my first character in Destiny, way back in the Closed-BETA, was a Warlock. I loved my Warlock from that time on. There was a time, for a long period, where I would be the sole Warlock on a RAID-Team of Titans and Hunters. It wasn't until TTK dropped and I got a Spark of Light that I decided, "I don't like my Warlocks look anymore. I'll remake it."
After that I became invested in my Titan and have since neglected my Warlock. But the point is: I was an avid, devout Warlock Player, and I can STILL acknowledge that Firebolts are OP. Let's not even get into the Aim-Assist for StormCaller Melee conversation right now. We don't even have to discuss the frequency with which the StormCaller's Super gets so much Aim-Assist that it GLITCHES OUT and kills people half-way across the Map.
What's that? "I've never seen that Happen with StormCaller. You're full of shit."?? Well, here. See for yourself.
Let's just stick to the fact that Bungie is literally too dense and inexperienced with their own product to know that something desperately needs to be re-balanced.

Honestly Touch of Flame is the issue not Viking Funeral.
-
If it has Viking funeral it's just a firebolt. If it has touch of flame, it burns, but not very long. It it has touch of flame and Viking funeral then it hurts a lot. But firebolt by itself ain't shit. It's the perks that everyone hates.

The sandbox team did their best balancing the game. They heard your cries and tried to rectify the problem. And in the end there was nothing they can do within the laws of the game to fix firebolts. Touching firebolts would make sunsingers a useless class. Sunsingers are suppose to have DoT. Without it the class wouldn't work to its potential. Watch the twitch over again and listen carefully. Time to face facts for all you nerf babies. Destiny is not the game for you.
-
Sounded like their only excuse was sorry too hard wait for destiny 2
-
The simplest fix would be to give all subclasses like 2 points of armor. In return, you have more health in pve and you would have more health left over when the burn wears off in crucible.
-
You missed the point. "Firebolts themselves" means with no Touch of Flame perk.
-
Warlocks will continue to live on because Bungie didn't take your feedback. I'm happy with this.
-
You idiot. In the first sentence of your post you invalidated yourself
-
Lmao - I love the sun singer so still laughing at the decision not to modify the flame bolt and touch of flame. I will see you in trials ....... Burning
-
Oh they know, they're just too afraid to take a stab at it in fear they'll piss off the long time elite wanna-be warlock must-have players. It's funny they're focused on nerfing Thorn(which isn't even making a comeback in year 2) and even Deej said no one uses it, but yet refuse to nerf a grenade that does way more dot than Thorn.
-
Like they care about destroying classes, guns, grenades or supers.
-
Oh no! You have to adapt this time around! What a sad day!
There was a time, for a long period, where I would be the sole Warlock on a RAID-Team of Titans and Hunters.
As a year one player and an avid caller on all things relating to bullshit, I have to say that claiming a lack of warlocks in raids might single handedly be biggest bunch load of shit since Republican's trickle-down economics. Hell, there were half a million posts in feedback that were bitching about Hunters being the most worthless class for a raid. If you saw more than 2 hunters in a raid chances are somebody was getting the boot when you reached Atheon.
