people need to learn the difference between "nerf" and balance changes... nerf is when you are just flat out making something worse across the board. balance change is when you take away a few things while adding / changing others to make things better... but back to the topic... the only "nerfs" that have hurt PvE are the over the top weapon nerfs. IE - the auto rifle nerfs that made the entire weapon class mostly worthless in every activity in the game. subclass changes ain't going to do anything because when it boils down it, in PvE, the weapons are what is doing the damage. the subclasses help with crowd control, and burst damage but for the most part are just grenades and jump abilities. as long as the super doesn't change ALOT (like completely redone and /or made worse by a large %) and as long as the subclass isn't more or less deleted from the game. PvE will be fine. stop over reacting.

  • Yea...but reduced ammo for specials and heavy and the decreased revive range and longer revives in PvE is really annoying and are probably the worst changes out of the entire thing.

now i could be wrong but i thought the "revive ranges and longer revives" were only for the elimination game mode. like i said i could have misheard that and am wrong but i don't remember them saying that was carring over to PvE. reduced ammo for heavies was only for 1 heavy machine gun, and reduced special ammo was only for sniper rifles (unless i misheard that as well, which is possible) which they are also making ammo drop more often to keep form being game ruining in PvE... people are over reacting to these changes worse than the gally nerf, but its not going to change alot in PvE. it will effect a few things but its not going to do THAT much.

  • I believe those were across the board. If not, it still reduces the usability of each weapon in PvE...same with the removal of HCR from Mida...which now won't be able to stagger majors as well.

the mida thing, idk never used the weapon. but making it less of a crutch for people isn't a "bad" thing. im sure its still going to be usable, and honeslty i never saw many people using it in PvE to begin with but that is just me. but it was RAMPANT in PvP, that needed to be delt with just like thorn towards the end of year 1, we'll have to wait and see if it is still decent, so untill then i'd just suggest saving judgment on the "nerf". the other weapons didn't receive anything that would ruin them in PvE so they should all be fine regardless. and i honestly don't recall them saying it was across the board, but i might of just not heard that. can't clarify till they release the notes about the update so i guess we'll have to see about that later.

  • Yea...def waiting until the actual notes. I'm just really hoping they made the adjustments completely separate from PvE (minus the individual weapon perk changes)

  • And they clearly nerfed everything.
