4 RepliesYou've made a miscalculation. You save faction packages, cryptarch packages and crucible packages. You stack bounties so your current faction grabs a level immediately. Engrams are time stamped. Fact.

4 RepliesThere is a date stamp in the programming for the engrams. Those from before the update will only give you gear from before the update. People have been trying this since TDB, it's never worked.

25 RepliesBungie confirmed in the last two major updates that Engrams are time stamped to the time they are dropped and will not drop new gear based on when they are opened. Be prepared for disappointment.

I don't think you will get the "new" exotics coming to year 2 but maybe they will drop at the higher light level.
