Do you think life existed in Mars at some point? It has plenty of frozen water, however most in canyons and cannot get any sunlight, or completely underground. I think that Mars use to have a much larger atmosphere. In the summer, it reaches 90 degrees Fahrenheit. With greenhouse gasses, this could theoretically reach Earth-like temperatures.

Oh mars certainly had a much larger and thicker atmosphere. It is believed that mars looks the way it does today due to the fact that its core slowed down, thus removing its natural electromagnetic field. This allowed the sun's radiation to destroy its (supposed) water and atmosphere.

Didn't think of how the atmosphere was stripped, but you did a good job of explaining the most likely scenario. I would've just said something stupid, but say it eloquently to confuse people. By the way, Mars does have frozen water in its canyons. The underground water is an educated guess.

It wouldn't surprise me. It's been theorized that we may be Martian as there is evidence of stromalites which conduct photosynthesis that are so old, the complexity of photosynthesis would be seemingly impossible to achieve in the time between Earth's formation and the stromalites age.
