So in case you haven't played Destiny in almost a year, sniper rifles have become the single most used weapon in all of Crucible since the Thorn could kill people after 2 hours of its burn. Why? It's pathetically easy to get an instant kill at literally any range in the game, whether across the map or Titan "I'm too bulky and slow to lunge" melee range. And then if you aren't somehow good enough, every single sniper has a fire rate fast enough to outshoot the Last Word at point blank, and literally every sniper rifle in game can 2 shot people to every single part of the body that's not the instant kill to the head. Starting to grasp the picture? Sniper rifles need to be reworked to the point of actually being those "special situations" weapons they're supposed to be, not to mention the just-as-long-ranged shotguns. Make them either fire much, much slower, of have them a 3 to 4 shot body kill to negate the simple ease of taking down a Guardian when it's clearly designed for the skill that a ridiculously vast majority clearly lacks. The aim-down-sight time needs reduction, to amplify the fact that these are weapons literally designed to sit in one spot, and wait for that perfect moment to take the shot, not just run around and constantly spam the trigger aiming in and out as fast as every other weapon in the game. Just like shotguns, make them SPECIAL weapons, used in SPECIAL situations, not literally every single fight you come across.

This game was made by the creators of halo, sniping in halo makes this look hard by comparison. bungie loves snipers, and in the mind of bungie a good sniper can beat anything at any range. But if any nerf did happen it would mess them up in pve...
