I saw this post by a guy modelling his own Iron Banner Titan and I immediately went back to thinking as to why Bungie hasn't licensed a line of Guardian collectibles. It would be super simple business model too.
Sell base guardian with starter armor.
Sell engrams or engram packs that contain random armor and/or weapons that are interchangeable.
Have tiers of engrams based on in-game rarity (tier 1 you may get whites, greens and sometimes blues, tier 2 makes you get a few blues, purples and every so often an exotic). To make it easier on the buyer, make it so you can choose between armor or weapon (instead of random).
Have them come in different colours (shaders) so people have an incentive to keep buying for a full armor set in the colours they want, but have specific sets (like raid sets) only come in one colour so its a concise set.
BOOM, profit.
Make them decent enough quality and I would dump money on it.
Would you, fellow forum dwellers, buy one or a few even?
