I responded to someone on another thread with my opinion on the following.
Sniping and shotgunning and fusioning and sidearming all take skill.
You cannot kill someone with a sniper unles you hit a headshot. I believe that body-shotting should be reworked (in the crucible) to deal less damage to a body shot.
It is difficult to make approaches in Destiny with a shotgun. Being a good shotgunner is about outplaying, and less about the gun itself.
Fusioning requires knowledge of your weapon's capabilities, timing, etc. Most people cannot simply pick up a fusion and do well with it, it takes practice, like the other two I just mentioned.
Sidearming requires you to back up while shooting, but I would say sidearming is the most reactionary of the four, and requires the least practice.
