Pointing and shooting isn't going to net you any kills. You have to land headshots which does require skill, that's not even a question. Few snipers sit in the back and pick people off, many like myself, move around the map to different vantage points so having situational awareness is important so that we don't get flanked or are not in any open line of sight to get shot from anywhere other than right in front of us.
