Hello guardians. I'm just a common destiny player. Sure I've been here since Alpha, but who cares? I don't mean anything to the actual community. People don't know who I am either. But I've been mentioning this for awhile with zero feedback from anyone. I just feel like this is a good fix for something, instead of making it useless.
I think everything in this game is fine where it is. I don't understand why people complain so much honestly. But crying repeatedly isn't solving anything.
•Bladedancer too OP, armor nerf twice and hit detection.
•Hammer of sol OP, everything nerfed and super sucks. (Well it was still good, just not as strong.)
•Autos are too good, nerfed for months and months.
Please don't make Warlocks useless. They have to give up two perks in general. Just remove the visible ticking. People complain because they get tagged, enemy comes around the corner instantly shoots you because of revealed location and runs back. Without visible DoT ticking, they have to gamble guessing where you are.
[spoiler]I'm a hunter main. I don't have one issue with Sunsingers. I'm just trying to make it so your subclass doesn't becomes trash. I personally love Voidwalker myself when running warlock. But the times I do run Sunsinger, I feel slightly OP. The shield, insane burns, etc. But you are extremely vulnerable against good players, as any subclass is. [/spoiler]

I'd say we should first fix up Bladedancers and Sunbreakers. Just fix the Bladedancer hit detection and make Sunbreaker actually consistent. Sunsingers dont really dominate according to to some website that tracks stats (forgot its name). However, if those other two subclasses are bought back into the mix it might level it out. The only possible change to Viking funeral without destroying it would be to make it tick shorter but eventually do the same damage. Another possible change would be to make it so that enemies hit by a greande with Viking Funeral would have the same effect as Melting Point applied to them. All of a sudden Warlocks are useful in raids. This was not my idea, someone posted it elsewhere.

Remove Viking Funeral. Its only good with Firebolt, and is pretty ridic with it. Replace it with something more interesting.

I have no major problem with any DoT attacks, true it is annoying dying from 1 firebolt grenade sometimes but the real problem is that there is no way to counter it. There should be some form of counter mechanic that we can use to negate the effect, whether it be an armor node or something as simple as crouching or standing still. If you have to crouch or stand still you would be at a disadvantage during a firefight so you would have to choose between taking burn damage or being at a tactical disadvantage. Sorry for the long response and if this has already been suggested. There just shouldn't be something that there is no counter against and a way to counter would help with DoT as a whole (including that pesky thorn) and would allow for more weapons and abilities to cause DoT without being OP.

They are the same as they were in Y1. They seem OP because everything that was able to counter it was nerfed into the ground. Now that it has no competition, it looks better than it really is.

Heres a good fix: the main problem with firebolts is that the dot lasts too long a easy fix would be for it do the same amount of damage, but less ticks. It would still damage you, but you would be able to go back in the game much quicker.

Just remove the visible ticks. There's no reason anything other than a Hunter should be able to see you through walls.

I saw 20+ posts that said "make sure Bungie, that you only nerf the damage reduction." So Bungie nerfs the whole super to the ground making it so you can get gunned down in 4 pulse bursts with max armor. Everyone was pissed. If we say to nerf firebolt (and even yell in Bungie's ear to "just nerf firebolt, that's it, we swear,") Bungie will nerf sunsingers to the ground for no reason

Either leave it alone or if you absolutely positively can't avoid doing something about being in fire then give the person on fire the ability to sprint/slide the fire out. Kind of like a stop drop and roll function of you will.

I had this idea. I might get hate but, I don't care. I just wanna voice my opinion. I think that they should remove the initial damage from firebolts and just make it light the target on fire. That's just me.

Remove Viking Funeral from their subclass and slap it on the Sunbreakers exotic gauntlets. The exotic is no longer useless and their grenades are no longer op

I main a warlock but, also run all 3. As someone mentioned remove Viking funeral and problem solved. I refuse to run sunsinger in pvp unless there is more than 1 sunsinger on the opposite team. Most of the time even then I run nova bomb in pvp. Just say NO to nerfs.

Fire bolts are bad. They are a shit grenade. Touch of flame makes them good. Viking funeral makes them OP. The burn isn't too bad but when you extend it with Viking funeral that's when it becomes a problem. That perk either needs a fine tuning or replaced. [spoiler]Main warlock[/spoiler]

I'm fine with em. Their melee is a bit infuriating (salty defender Titan roots) but otherwise ok. Would like to see better hit detection on bladedancers, a slight buff to HoS (no where near what it was though) and tethers cancelling supers immediately if you hit the target directly (then would fan out as normal) Just my thoughts.
