You got sniped behid a wall for 1 or more reasons.
1. You don't use 3rd person tactics and didn't know you were not completely behind a wall.
2. You're lying.
3. Probably the most viable reason, Lag. 90% of the time "curving" sniper bullets actually hit you before you reached cover and then you decide to take damage a few step into cover.
