Here's my experience. I've snipped since the day I started playing destiny. I've only recently started to get good with it. Now, I picked up my invective while iron banner was on rift. Two games in I had myself 23 kills n never used my primary. and this is after they been hit by the nerf stick.. I still use it but I don't enjoy half as much being so aggressive in crucible. I personally prefer my sniper, it fits better with my game style. It's taken me a year to get half decent with a sniper n I could master my invective within a couple a games. Make of my post what you will but that's the god honest truth.

i wouldnt use invective as a good examole though. that thing pretty much shoots itself

I like your post. It's honest, short and covers the most important topic play style. I like being super aggressive and the current sniper meta is killing my KD because I have a hard time adapting to it. I loved when lord of wolves ruled but that's bc I could run and gun. I don't hate snipers I just feel like I can have more fun using shoulder charge, twilight garrison and invective. It's all about play style and having fun. Everything is situational.

Invectives 2 hit ko range is wild for a post nerf shotgun, especially with final round.

Edited by seeweedbuscut: 4/3/2016 4:34:19 AMmy mate is pretty useless, he is always dying in pve, but in crucible with his invective, he is first most matches, just because he tends to get lucky running in to hotspots. i find shotguns very easy to use, and because I'm a pve player, i tend to use them because they require such little skill and i can come 1st often. once i tried using a sniper, and i failed ridiculously, i barely killed anyone, even though i always use them in pve. i think the problem is more a case of everyone migrating to snipers. they do require skill to use, but now everyone has realised how good they are when you have that skill, everyone has migrated and adapted, and became skilled with a sniper. i think its just a mass skill adaption.

I totally agree. The more you snipe the better you get. When I get out of the zen zone I cant hit anybody with my snipe. shotgun is pretty much run up to someone and pull the trigger. Dont even have to aim.

That's not really a fair thing though, the invective is the thorn of shotguns. It's range state is bonkers, and it has a high fire rate. This lets it get ranged kills that no other shotty could dream of killing so quickly. Plus ammo regen and full auto help.
