I would say it takes just as much skill to successfully run shotgun fusion or sidearm as it does to snipe. Each weapon requires a different skill though. Shot gunning requires positioning to do well with, I am not taking about the guy who gets killed 4 times rushing someone before he gets the shotgun kill. Using a fusion well requires a little luck and solid tracking off your opponent to get them with the full blast. The side arm has the slowest time to kill of the four special weapons and requires great timing. Sniping requires solid aiming and really accurate controller stick movement.
They need to buff fusion rifles though. They should increase he accuracy and decrease the cone pattern.
