Have a lvl 35 Assassin, should I just activate TVHM for the rest of the game? I'm also just confused.

TVHM and UVHM is pretty much ng+ and ng++ OP levels are different though, when you reach level 72(assuming you have all DLC for it), you can start going into OP levels. To unlock OP1, you go through Digistruct Peak, which is essentially all bosses in the game in on one huge mountain which you keep going up which gets more difficult the higher you get. OP1 means all enemies will be a level above you, but so will all gear. This keeps repeating until OP8, which is the last OP level. Essentially, OP levels is just everything but with more numbers, pretty much Gearbox's last minute solution for keeping the game running longer. You can go through all OP levels if you want but its not worth it IMO, unless you want to collect pearlescent weapons, one is guaranteed when you kill the last boss of the Peak. Pearles suck anyways.

Esentially higher difficulties and whatnot. You can switch back by selecting your character again at the main menu.

Once you activate TVHM, you'll start running into rabid stalkers. Easily the worst element of the Borderlands Series. On the plus side, you'll find significantly better gear.

It is just a raised level cap. Get higher levels, unlock more skills, fight harder enemies, get better loot.

OP levels are levels above 72 that you can actually change and lower at will once you earned them.

TVHM = new game+. UVHM = new game ++. OP levels = leveling higher than the cap of 60.

Edited by What I Look Like: 4/2/2016 4:02:33 PMDid you beat the initial playthrough? If so then yeah. TVHM will start a new playthrough for you, and it will be noticeably harder. After this playthrough you should be hovering around level 50. UVHM is insanely challenging, and basically requires the use of Slag (as it triples damage in UVHM instead of doubling it), because enemies have an insane amount of health. It is a final 3rd playthrough, and easily one of the hardest games I've ever played. OP 8 is just the dev's way of stretching the game out. It was annoying to have to regrind all the gear 8 times. Didn't do it, but each OP level comes after UVHM and you have to earn the next one on Digistruct peak. Hard as well, buuuuut like I said.. They raised the level cap twice and I had to regrind twice. Not 8 more times, no. Cap is 72 m8. Have fun!

If I remember correctly, I was about level 35 when I finished normal mode. I then proceeded to go through TVHM, just doing the main story only. When I finished, I was in the low 50's level. I then went to UVHM {which is very hard if you don't slag} . I then just did the main story quests and made it to the end. I waited till I was level 72 {cap} and went back and did some of the side mission and DLC. Everything will scale to your level so the drops you get will be at your level. If you have digi-peak, you can run what I like to call a borderlands raid and if you get through without dying, you will rank up to op1. Keep doing this till you reach rank op8. Of course whatever your rank is, that's what level your weapons will drop. I think my highest op level was op3. To get through op4 , I think I'm gonna need some help or get better. You can always reset UVHM in case you did a mission for a certain item early and you want to get a better item. Example: you did the scarlett dlc and got the pimpernil {sp?} sniper at level 65. Now you are op5 and you want that rifle thats your level. You can reset uvhm and re-do the mission and get an on level weapon. Hope this helps you.
