This entry for an Upcoming Threat is completely speculation. I know nothing about any new Cabal DLC or when it will come, but this is how I imagine it will begin.
I also apologize for how short this post was. The little known lore about the Cabal and their empire had me guessing at what their protocol was.
A centurion, escorted by two legionaries, approached a large gate. Two phalanx soldiers stepped up and closer together, they held their massive shields in the way.
The centurion held his left arm across his chest. "I seek counsel with the Emperor. I bring news of our division in Sol."
The phalanx soldiers opened the door and let the centurion and his two legionaries in. Once the door shut behind them, two honor guards clad in blood red armor with bright yellow trims approached them. Both carried shields and massive pikes. The honor guards escorted the centurion to the Emperor of the Cabal.
"You bring word from the front lines, I presume. That parasite of a king had better been dead!" An enormous Cabal sat on a throne. Banners streamed from rods extending from his shoulders and two large plumes sprouted from his back.
"Your Highness, the king is dead but reports say that the human warriors killed him." The centurion knelt down as he spoke.
The Emperor did not move. "What of Valus Tlu'urn and Valus Mau'ual? They were to send that dreadnought to Oblivion!"
"They were killed by the humans as well, Your Highness. The humans intercepted them before the core was ever detonated."
"They.. what?!" barked the Emperor. "I sent legions to Sol to establish a military presence! But a few weaklings halted all progress?! Those poor excuses for Cabal ought to be grateful they are dead!"
"What would have us do, Your Highness?" asked the centurion.
The Emperor relaxed. "Bring in the Star Breaker Valus." He waved his hand sending off a messager.
After about ten minutes the messager returned. A Cabal in rust red and black armor walked in as well. He had one shoulder pad similar to Valus Ta'aurc's. On the back of his left shoulder, he had a wing similar to some titan armor. The Valus did not kneel before the Emperor, the centurion thought he was stupid for not doing so.
"How may I be of service, Your Highness?"
"Valus Rua'al, I need your special forces team, Star Breakers, to go to Sol and take back Cabal beachheads. Once they are established, I will launch a full scale invasion to conquer the system." The Emperor raised his arm and pointed to the Valus.
"It will be done." Valus Rua'al placed his left arm across his chest then left.
The centurion stood up, placed his left arm across his chest and left as well.
Valus Rua'al led two legions of Cabal and psions to large Cabal carriers. Land tanks and harvesters were being loaded up to assist in the invasion. The legions' marching thundered in the imperial city.
Valus Rua'al yelled to the Primuses following him. "Primus Dau'ual, take one thousand troops to Phobos, take back Black Shield." Primus Dau'ual led a team to a carrier that Valus Rua'al pointed to. "Primus A'aurn, take one thousand to Meridian Bay." Valus Rua'al pointed to a second carrier. "Primus Shau'ul, you will follow me to the Black Garden. An opening has been found and we must take it!"
The three carriers traveled for days even with the warp drive engaged.
Valus Rua'al was talking to his Primuses over their communication system. "Valus Ta'aurc is dead. Valus Trau'ug is dead. Valus Tlu'urn is dead. And Valus Mau'ual is dead. They all had an objective for the empire, the only to not fail was Valus Ta'aurc. However, his land tank was boarded and he was killed. We are going to retake what was lost and strengthen the Empire's hold on Sol. If we fail to do so, the Emperor will personally gut all of us when he arrives."
Primus Dau'ual spoke up. "Valus, the Black Shield is lost. The Taken destr-"
"Then rebuild it, Primus!! You were given a land tank!" inturrupted Valus Rua'al.
"Of course, Valus." Primus Dau'ual's voice was quieter.
"Any other questions or statements?!" asked Valus Rua'al.
"No, Valus!" The three Primuses barked back.
"Good. For the Empire!" shouted Valus Rua'al.
"For the Empire!!"
When the transmission ended, Valus Rua'al turned to his troops. "We are to take the Black Garden. While the other squads take back Cabal fortifications, we will destroy the Vex presence. With their god's realm in ruin, then we can truly take the planet."
Two psions shared a glance at the mention of the Black Garden. A legionary beat his chest and raised his gun in the air.
"We destroy worlds that get in our way. We conquer the impossible. We establish order in the lawless. Who are we?!" yelled Valus Rua'al.
"Star Breakers!!" barked his troops.
