Brief off the cuff explanation on how light affects damage and why a 15 Light increase in the upcoming 2.2.0 patch can be significant.
Also on my channel I have brief explanations on how Range and Stability works if you are interested.
If you have a topic you want explained in a later video send a mesaage or leave a comment.
I am not trying to grow a channel, just trying to inform and explain as Destiny is in a bit of a lull.
Obligatory Edit: Trending. Wait... what?

So I'll get to 320 when the new content drops, and already be doing max damage. Great, I can quit early.

Please could you explain how a Hunter's smoke cuts off my jet pack, stops a double jump and Warlocks ability to manipulate the forces to glide as well as doing damage to a Guardian in full body armor who has a mask on used for breathing on the moon and anywhere else without oxygen? This for me is the greatest mystery of Destiny because honestly once the Darkness realises that Guardians are rendered into babies just from "smoke" we are truly screwed in this war. Expect the next raid boss to be an entity of smoke that just closes the doors and fills the room. And before anyone goes and says we harnessed the smoke of the Wizards. Last time Guardians did that they were either, fired, exiled or shot.

yep. this! Did 35 PoE last night in 25 minutes with 0 fireteam deaths. we were all 315+, but it was stupid easy. i wonder where the cap is for that encounter? Shotgunning Skolas in the face is a great feeling.... waaaay better than running from him for an hour. lol.

Watched all 3 vids, thanks for the useful insight into the effect of various perks. The random appearing in the stability vid was pretty funny too, well done on ignoring them so well lol

i wasted 5 min of life watching this!.... the fact that they explained ight levels like 20 times already... overkill and people still dont know what about... they even said the lower u r from the recommended light the more they do the less u do.. but if ur higher u dont do anything more.

So you take less damage the higher ur light is, once u hit the recommended light level, does ur damage reduction cap there too? Or does being 20 levels over the recommended mean you take less damage than if you were equal to it?

Edited by Pocket Fox: 3/28/2016 11:18:21 AMGood videos, I watched all 3. Nice work covering accuracy in particular. Not many people know how the aiming mechanics work in this game. They assume their bullets will land dead center of their reticle every time (like CoD), but in Destiny there is a "accuracy bloom" system that can cause them to miss perfectly lines up shots or even hit shots they should have missed (sometimes the accuracy bloom works in our favor). Range stat = win stat in year 2. Side note on light level and gun attack value: Your conclusion on light level is true, but sometimes increasing your gun attack value does NOT increase your damage amount at all. I was in a lvl 41 heroic mission (recommended light 260 I believe) doing some field testing of perks. My light level was over 300, so that had no impact here. I was testing a 287 Treads Upon Stars, then when I was done, I switched back to my 314 Hung Jury and was surprised that my damage numbers were completely identical (same archetype gun). Going from 287 to 314 didn't matter. This needs more testing, because there is obviously some kind of damage cap going on, where lower recommended light level content will cap your gun's damage beyond a certain light level. Maybe I should test the 287 and 314 in a recommended 280 light level nightfall. Tldr; at some point, not only does your light level become irrelevant if you exceed the recommended light level, but your gun's attack value will become irrelevant too when you exceed the hidden damage cap for that particular content.
