For fun and a good story: GTA For fun, fun, and more fun: Saints Row. Saints Row looked like it was going to be a great franchise until THQ stopped making them and they went to shit after Saints Row 2. I liked Saints Row 2 more than GTA 4, but Saints Row 3 ruined the franchise for me. I played 3 & 4 for the sake of completion but they are barely replayable

I think GTA is "better" but SR is definitely more amusing.

I always hated games like Saints Row... it's just too crazy for me.

GTA gets the vote... Been playing it since it was a simple top down, car jacking PC game Loved 3 for what it was and did for the genre at the time, 4 was good but I never want to hear "Eh...Nico" ever again 5 was just that good...online was ok but for me the story was like an insane version of Trailer Park Boys Saying that, Saints Row 1&2 were awesome games...GTA but more of an arcade feel to gameplay, 3+ have been a little over the top but where R* is about the realism (ish), SR just tosses the rules out the window Get GTA if ya like a more 'reality' based storyline and more realistic game controls Get SR if you just want to go nuts on the population of the game world and leave your sanity and morals at the door..
