Warlocks...

[b]WARNING[/b] ⚠ - [b]THIS MAY BE A RANT![/b] [b]WARLOCKS NEED A NERF.[/b] ------------------------------ So, I'm pretty sure everyone BUT Warlock players will agree that Warlocks are OP. To top it off, some Warlocks even have the audacity to TBag you after they shotgun, melee, super or grenade you to death. I'm not going to even start on triple Sunsingers on Trials. The Voidwalker subclass in my opinion should stay the same. However, Stormcaller and Sunsinger need multiple changes. ------------------------------- [u]Sunsinger:[/u] Reduce the duration of burn on the grenades and melees, Reduce the lunge of the melee, Firebolts in general. ------------------------------- [u]Stormcaller:[/u] Reduce the duration of Stormcaller, Reduce the lunge of melee, They have TWO additional sub-class features from different sub-classes - Striker (Titan) which they get from Landfall, and Blink (Voidwalker and Hunter) which they get from Ionic Blink. ------------------------------ [b]Now, you may not agree with some of the changes I think should be implemented into the game, but remember one thing: WARLOCKS ARE OP [/b] EDIT: Why are people so butthurt about my opinion?

      I main a hunter and I don't believe warlocks are op. I have no problem with three self res warlocks. You can take them out easily with a sniper or invective. The grenades are what make the class special. The class is revolved around the grenade. Void walker I think needs a buff in blast radius because it is so easy to get out of the way of it. Stormcaller are fine because for me it is easy to counter.

    • Landfall should not pop a defender bubble. Other than that I'm cool with the storm caller. The warlock melee has way too much aim assist on it meaning that you can melee and your attack will just swing to the nearest target. This is already a problem because of the warlocks insane range. Sunsinger is the best class for 3v3 right now. Undisputed. Every high skill player uses it because it's neutral game is absolutely ridiculous. They come with a grenade that takes you out of the fight for 12 seconds and leaves you one shot to any weapon in the game besides low impact auto rifles. They get a melee that grants and free damage reducing shield on a HIT ( a f***ing hit for gods sake. On the class with the longest melee range in the game?!? If that's the case then a defender Titan should get his overshield on a hit because that melee is way harder to land) and applies burn damage that is capable of burning out guardians with low armor ( remember when sunbreaker melees could do that and everyone screamed OP). I will grant you that the class has to be specked properly in order for the grenades and melee to burn that long but be honest is there actually anything better to speck for? You could take two grenades or a perk that makes radiance last longer ( neither are more appealing than 12 seconds of burn damage or a shielding melee on hit). We should actually blame bungie for making that specific build way too powerful for any other build to be optimal. But it's time to bring warlocks back down to size (just like my beautiful sunbreaker). Here's something I just posted responding to a comment saying warlocks are balanced. After this see if they are. Another Titan brought to my attention that a max armor warlock with radiant skin can survive a golden gun shot. Remember when a sunbreaker could do that and everyone cried OP? I can't wait for sunsinger to be punched in the gut and made useless and I can't wait for the snipers to be nerfed out of existence as well. I just want my sunbreaker hit detection to be fixed too and it will be the best sandbox unpdate ever. (Destiny April update: the day everyone lost their crutch)

        Sunsingers are fine. They havent changed in ages so this just means other classes need a buff. Stormcaller needs a shorter duration or less maneuverability so its actually possible to escape like the other supers. - I main a warlock and have since the beta.

        • I guranteed you guys will ever regret the day you wanted sunsingers nerf. Just like how Bungie nerfed the titan sunbreaker to oblivion, it will be the exact way the sunsinger will be. I am not a warlock main but you guys are ridiculously stupid. Tbe only thing sunsingers have are their grenades while in [u]super[/u]. Notice what I said. "While in their super". The grenades are what makes them a force to be reckon with. When will Destiny players get over the DoT effect? First Thorn and now Sunsingers' grenades. Please. Continue to ruin the game some more.

        • Ionic blink is during super ONLY. It doesn't replace your jump and plus takes your super away using it. Landfall ok but you lose the ability to kill multiple targets fast and you don't get ionic unless you waste your exotic slot for it. Warlock melee never been an issue till now because we have huntards like you who want EVERYTHING nerfed if it hurts you. So done with your guys bs.

        • When it comes to sunsingers, I'm all for nerfing firebolt, as long as the super us buffed. All it is, is the melee and grenade charging faster. You seriously get about two to three grenades if you're playing evasively, and as a sunsinger after a self rev, you most likely will be. For void walkers, energy drain needs a buff. I can hardly tell when it's actually activating. Compared to the other melee abilities, this is ridiculous. Storm callers are at a fairly good spot. True they don't need to last so long, but keep in mind, ionic blink takes away a lot of the super. For them to actually move fast enough to keep up with other subclasses, they kind of have to use it. I'd say, just not even touch storm caller at all, but instead give some of the other cases and subclasses a buff.

            • Idk about stormcaller. I honestly didn't even like stormcaller when I had a warlock. Thought the class was weak. But sunsinger for sure is obviously in need of work. I guarantee it'll be changed in the update

That would destroy what little power the Subclass actually has. Aside from decreased cooldowns and a stronger melee, the Super itself earns you no extra DPS beyond your average neutral game. And of it's three perks, one is too underwhelming to be useful, one just increases damage resistance, and the other is a 1-UP (which can be shut down fairly easy). Better add more armor because being slow as hell (even with Blink) with a short-lasting Super sure isn't fun. 2.) Refer to #2 above. 3.) For almost any Super you should be as far away form them as possible to begin with. If you got caught in Landfall then you were either unfortunate or not paying attention. As for Blink, it eats up the Super fairly quickly even if Transcendence is active. Just keep the gap big and you'll see him running low on Super energy quite fast. That, or just kill him because the average (experienced) pvp player should have some plan of shutting down any Super they happen to come across. The Super tickles anything above Major in PvE, has extreme damage falloff from the impact zone (even with Vortex), the Angry Magic perk is broken, and Lance is near useless because the Super travels too slowly and is too small to hit them from 2 ft past impact. As for grenades, they don't OHK and Axion bolt is the only done that does enough damage to matter (due to tracking mind you). Energy drain perks are also a joke because the timers usually don't last long enough to get more than one melee strike in, especially since most Warlocks would use it as a hit-n-run tactic. If you haven't noticed, every single Warlock subclass has a specific "meta" because most of the other perks are worthless or broken. Doesn't even apply to just Warlocks, but they're the topic discussion atm so we'll leave it as that.

                  • I'd say nerf storm callers duration when you have that perk...I don't know it off the top of my head, but I've used it before. Firebolt damage over time needs to be reduced. Flame shield attack will be fine if their grenades are brought down a bit. Void walker needs a buff.

                  • People aren't butthurt about your opinion, per se. They are sick of having guardians made weaker because someone can't find a way to counter an attack and decides it's easier to ask for a nerf. Remember that PvP and PvE are linked, so any changes to the crucible also affect the rest of the game. They have nerfed the shit out of guardians and their weapons and armour in an attempt to satisfy the crucible players, but seem to have completely forgotten that it makes PvE less fun and even more grindy.

                    I honestly don't know what you're talking about. I main a warlock myself but sunsinger was actually nerfed pretty hard before TTK even came out. We can't throw nearly as many grenades as we used to. And to top it off striker, void bow, and golden gun can beat stormcaller anyday of the week sooo stop bítching?

                    • Dude.. As a warlock main, I do play all 3 classes. I'll be honest, I hate Titans. I only really care about about hunters Nightstalker, but sort of getting into gunslinger. That being said, I can count the amount of times I spent invested in the sunsinger class. Right now, I play it the most ONLY because the gear I am wearing for it (which gets me to my max light) is best used when in a solar class. That being said, I get way better kills, and have a way better time, when using storm trance, or void walker. Why? Sunsinger has no use, other than crowd control. Now, hear me out here. Because I have played trials, and I have come against the dreaded 3 man sunsinger fight.. That sucks bad.. That is pretty stupid. I mean, 3 fire bolt grenades coming at you can wipe your team if you are standing close together right? Then the logical thing is to not stand together.. It's called adaption. Now sun singers firebolt grenades do not 1 hit kill you, even with a full tick on the burn. What it does do, if you care about dying, is keep you out of the fight. Crowd control. Sunsinger's supers, again, crowd control. Having a super where all I can really do is throw a bunch of grenades everywhere, pales in comparison to even the defender Titans bubble. I feel there are more uses for the bubble (like popping it over heavy ammo in a clinch, or, popping it over a dead team mate, or, giving your team shields in a gun fight, winning said gunfight because of it) Excuse my long reply, but when I see someone wanting to nerf a subclass that really has no viable uses outside of self rez in a hard raid so that hot heads don't boot you, makes me sad. If sunsinger gets a nerf, that will make an entire subclass unplayable. What I would agree on, is a compromise. What I wouldn't mind seeing, is a shorter tick on fire bolts. It still keeps you out of a fight, but not so long to where the enemy team can wipe the other two people, come hunt you down and find you before the tick is done lol. But, if we are nerfing one thing, we should buff another (shouldn't that be a rule of thumb?) I would like to see radiance have some more use. Instead of it throwing grenades, how about something else? Or, the buff that radiance gives off, widen the distance? How about ditch the whole "I can make their grenades cool down faster" let us give you a shield, let us make you reload quicker, let my bullets blind you, let me see that you have a gift of the flame and maybe grow some fire wings so I freakin feel useful to the team. Just some thoughts TL;DR stop the call to nerf. Nerfing a subclass and rendering it useless is pointless. Compromise: lower the tick on the DoT, but raise the benefits of Radiance so it feels useful. I think we can all agree there are bigger, more important things that need to be addressed before we kill off a subclass that already does not have the biggest use. Thank you for your time, and this was not meant to be a put down. Just my own view and opinion on the matter.
