I've used these pair of headphones for awhile on PS4 and have been happy with the quality for the low price ($25 at the time of this post). They're technically PC headphones, but the surround sound and mic/mute functions work just fine with the PS4. No volume control, but they were already nicely balanced. Just plug the USB into the console Basically, I've really enjoyed these headphones as a budget alternative to higher end, tricked out headphones because they reliably do their job. Just wanted to pass the suggestion along to anyone wanting to upgrade from the original PS4 earbud, but who also don't want to invest in some super high end headphones. (Otherwise, I'd say the PS Gold headphones are a great pick for getting some more functions and not paying a terrible amount more!)
