From Dave Thier, Forbes, June 2015: "Because there are no checkpoints in Prison of the Elders, you do it in one sitting or you don’t at all. It just doesn’t jive with the real world. People have kids, people have jobs, people have lives and people need to go to bed. The internet has its own problems. Theoretically, the lack of checkpoints make it more “challenging,” but not in an interesting, gameplay way, just in an infuriating, captive-holding sort of way. It’s as if they’re taking the “Prison” concept way too far."
OMM and checkpoints were the two things repeatedly asked for from PoE, and we got neither. Again.
