Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic REMADE
The game is being remade! As a long time KotOR fan, I am very excited for this! First KotOR comes to mobile, then KotOR 2 is remastered, and now KotOR is being REMADE altogether! Seeing it in the pre-alpha stage it already looks amazing, imagine how it will look when it's completed!
Now, some criticism; how on earth are they going to remaster the audio? And how will the gameplay be handled with the all-new 3D graphics and possible FR (free roam) concept? And the characters?
Either way, I am simply amazed that someone is taking the time to completely remake a game created nearly 14 years ago! Even today KotOR is still a popular classic, but it had lost a few fans along its aging stage, but now someone has finally taken the time to recreate it to suit a more modern time. Anyone else as stoked as I am about this?!

1 ReplyI would love to see the game remade, even with alterations if need be, in order to place it within the current Star Wars cannon. Though, I would hate to see them also add the SWTOR MMO into the mix as I feel the writing leading up to that moment was pretty wretched. The Revan novel is abyssal as it completely mistreats the KOTOR II story, which imo, surpasses the first game in many ways. While it is cool to see people put their spin on the KOTOR game with this "mod/remake," I'm honestly not a fan of their direction for it and I doubt, ultimately, that it will make it very far sadly.

18 RepliesYou mean KOTOR meets Elder Scrolls right? Breaking "canon" by adding more planets and quest we don't need and giving an unnecessary First Person perspective that doesn't fit the combat system. Unless they're planning to change the combat, which I do certainly hope not, then they should stop integrating it. I honestly hope it gets cancelled or shut down if the attempt to change anything that isn't the graphics. Its bad enough that the new graphics will ruin the atmosphere.
