Due to the current evolution of the game blade dancer needs some tweeks...
1-
Problem - Back stab activates from the front occasionally.
Answer - Back stab activates 180 degrees around back of target to account for movement and lag.
2-
Problem -Fleet footed negates stalker by making hunter glow while invisible.
Answer - No glow at all while using fleet footed perk.
3-
Problem - Quick draw perk allows high level players exploit special weapons.
Answer - Change it to something else useful that fits the theme. If anything that perk should be on gunslinger.
Edit: thought of a replacement.
Wall cling - You jump toward the wall. Press crouch on contact and you can hold there. Kinda like angel of light. That would be a good perk for back stab ambushes.
4-
Problem- Due to the inclusion of the other mobile supers and the new heavy sword category, arcblade is obsolete in both PvP and PvE
Answer - Turn the super into a complete stealth high risk, high reward super. On activation of arcblade stalker is activated for the duration. Hunter can blink and attack while invisible. Mobility/sprint speed is doubled. Armor buffs are removed. It rewards strategic use and punishes impulse activation in both PvP and PvE. PvE would be greatly benefited in add control by attacking while stalker is activated and generating orbs.
That is all
Feel free to freak out

You know what we need as Hunters that the other classes have? A Throw and kill Multiple enemy super. Each Hunter super requires some sort of precision one-on-one kill. Even the Tether requires you to at least shoot one of the tethered enemies. We don't have a multi-kill super like a NovaBomb or Sunbreaker that can melt 2 or more with one throw. Oh and, as stated before: Hunters need better agility. .so badly.

This all sounds really cool and I support your suggestions

Edited by Kat: 3/25/2016 1:01:11 PMFrom someone that used to use the hunter, quickdraw is the only good perk the hunter has, and people that exploit special weapons don't switch off of special, quickdraw is the only thing that makes the bd good in pvp. Switching weapons slower won't make someone bad. The invisibility sucks on the bd in general and shouldn't be used in pvp bc highly skilled players don't fall for it. And can easily see it. I hear the audio que and i get hyped bc I'm going to pop an arrogant hunters had off as soon as his cloaked butt comes around the corner Edit: also the bd is not obsolete, a highly skilled player/team will get 3 kills out of it every time. I do agree that the hunters agility needs to be tweaked majorly bc they are the SLOWEST class PERIOD. Why is the supposed "most mobile class" the slowest?

Circle of Life perk on Hunters is shit, replace with Throwing Knife kills Increase your super charge. (Coming from a Titan)

Please take a nova bomb to the face. ヽ( ゜ヮ゜)ノ.・゜*。・+☆ (._. ) ^Warlock ^NB ^Hunter

U all still play this boring crabby game???

Answer: Become a Warlock solves all problems XD In all seriousness though your edit and 4 would be sick, you're right blade dancers need a revamp and Wall cling would be hella badass
-
I main warlock and this sounds awesome af

Ok I agree with pretty much everything except QuickDraw. QuickDraw is the only reason I use bladedancer and is the only thing that makes the nerf to blink manageable for me. I can't use voidwalker anymore because taking weapons out after blink takes forever without QuickDraw. Maybe I'd be ok if they moved it to gunslinger and then gave bladedancer and equally as useful perk but it'd have to be just that. equally as useful. Or else that class would be useless.
-
Sounds like you're taking the only good things the class has (QuickDraw) and removing it while making the super even squishier. Stealth is easily detected in this game. That change to the super won't make it any better.
-
Also, the word you want is called "clamber" Holding on to a wall and climbing it (like halo 5)
-
Let's start with how useless the invisibility is. Time to upgrade that like god damn crazy
-
Motion tracker > stealth

Edited by NeekoMcCool: 3/25/2016 5:14:41 AMAlso I think an easy fix for blade dancer would be to get a speed increase and to have it do massive damage. Like double what it does now. That way it never takes more than one swing to kill a guardian in crucible even if they are in super cuz getting close to hammers or something is already hard enough. And thatd also make it more useful in pve.
2- Problem -Fleet footed negates stalker by making hunter glow while invisible. Answer - No glow at all while using fleet footed perk.
Fleetfooted is a weak talent compared to similar talents on other subclasses. In addition to your change, it should also grant two points of bonus agility instead of just one.
3- Problem - Quick draw perk allows high level players exploit special weapons. Patch notes from the beta state that Quickdraw originally required a kill first to be activated. If any changes were to be made, I'd say just go back to that. Having said that, though, I wouldn't change it myself. I think the problem lies with the state of special weapons and not with the talent.
4- Problem- Due to the inclusion of the other mobile supers and the new heavy sword category, arcblade is obsolete in both PvP and PvE Answer - Turn the super into a complete stealth high risk, high reward super. I think a less drastic change in the same vein would be to permanently bind the Vanish talent to the aim trigger (like the sword's guard). Either way, the Vanish talent would become extraneous. In its place I propose Crippling Strikes - The Bladedancer unleashes a rapid series of three attacks. If all three attacks hit a target, the target is staggered and receives 50% additional damage from all sources for five seconds. Feel free to reply with your thoughts... On my thoughts on your thoughts... THOUGHTCEPTION

Back stab glitch if done in air it procs even from the front. And yiur suppose to be stealthy while Invise not run as fast as you can in a straight line to your opponent. I main blade dancer and the only thing that needs to be fixed is our nerfed armors, hit detection, shorter arc blade melee animation our dual blades, and act bolt for both buff for both classes and flux grenade damage buff similar to fusion grenades!

Hunter's have small hands and cannot manage weapon recoil due to having spindly arms. Why?
-
I want to start using blade dancer more, and I love everything you said. Bungie make it happen.
-
So let me get this straight, you're bitching about switching weapons immediately, and you're answer is to allow the hunter to walk hang and ambush? Yeah, I'm sure that'll never be exploited.
-
I never understood why quickdraw was on bladedancers not gunslingers...
-
I think maybe they should try to get the lunge to extend on Arcblade when lunging at a target's back? I know the coding for this would be an awful mess if it's even possible, but straight-up increasing the lunge would be a bit much on top of being perma-invisible. But I would support having increased lunge if they have positioning on their side.
-
When I saw this post, I thought it was gonna be another "hunters are too OP!" Post. I've rarely been so happy to be wrong. :P
-
These are problems that needed to be addressed, and you did so in the right ways, I agree with all points you make, and this is coming from a titan main.
-
I would also increase the duration, or slow energy consumption when not attacking.
-
These changes make sense as it would create the rouge assassin that the bladedancer should be.
