Just got back from an employee screening of Batman v Superman... Don't worry I won't spoil it for those that want to see it. I will say my piece though. It was an incoherent mess. A solid 5/10. There is too much going on and the film fails to stay focused on one thing for too long. Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot do manage to put to rest the arguments of whether or not they'd be good as Batman and Wonder Woman. They were fantastic. It's Henry Cavill and Jesse Eisenberg who fail to perform. Cavill is still just as meh as he was in Man of Steel and Eisenberg is just as shitty as we all knew he would be. Gal Gadot absolutely steals the 3rd act. And special props to Jeremy Irons for his portray of Alfred. It was pretty good. It's just the story. It's horrible. And Doomsday... *shutters* But don't let me influence you. See for yourself. In my opinion it is shit. Which is extremely depressing because Batman is my 2nd favorite Superhero and I was really hoping this film would be better.

I liked it
-
Just saw it today. Editing and pacing is wonky for the first act. After that tho...its a dc fanboys wet dream.
-
As for your Doomsday note, yeah he does look like a further deformed ninja turtle. I also didn't like how he grew to the size of a building and used the f***ing super flare, a power Doomsday doesn't even have. To finish it off, how does scrawny nerd DNA+Zod's Corpse=Immortal rejected Michael Bay ninja turtle?

Edited by Starlord1245: 3/26/2016 2:16:28 AMThey just want to do Injustice its painfully obvious. They've blown their load too early because now we won't get Man of Tomorrow the sequel to Man of Steel. We will have no reason to care that Superman has turned evil because there were no movies to make him heroic.

It felt like...
the man of steel
Spoilers!
Superman is namrepuS backwards!
Granny's peach tea

Can you tell me some spoilers
-
Agree. Although I kind of like how they made lex in this one. Btw who is first fav?
-
Honestly what killed the movie is Snyder's massive cutting. The director's cut is 3 1/2 hours long. As much as it would annoy some movie goers, the longer run time would've benefited the movie for sure
superman dies
-
Okay. I still like DC better than Marvel but okay.
-
I give it a 7/10. The first half of the movie just seemed like a bunch of test footage scenes thrown together in random order. It's like they rushed the movie but didn't at the same time seeing how slow the beginning was. What saved the movie for me was Wonder Woman's appearance at the end. She was badass and I'm glad they actually appealed to the warrior side of her. The fight between Bats and Supes was also good. I did not like that they used Lex Luthor Jr. for the role. It's as if they took The Riddler, Dr. Strange, and a hint of Joker and mixed them together. The OG Lex Luthor would have fit this movie much better.

I saw it last night as well. I kind of ignored the story and just watched the fights.(Really...a nuke)

Edited by Tu Chocolate Caliente: 3/25/2016 6:11:19 PMPros: Ben Affleck's Brutal Batman (despite the killing spreee this batman goes on) Bruce Wayne/Alfred Chemistry Wonder Woman Soundtrack was GOAT with a few exceptions Some of the world building Great action scenes Knightmare scene Better than MoS and improves over it's faults
Flash appearing in front of Bruce Wayne
Batman vs Superman fight was amazing Cons Crazy Lex luthor (probably the worst casting ever made, DUDE PISS LMAO) Superman scenes where meh at best Batman not listening for atleast ten seconds Lois Lane Plot device #345 Introduction of Cameo appearances was very dissapointing Trying to fill in so much world building like AoU Doomsday Editing (movie jumped from place to place with a bunch of subplots in the first half) First half could be boring at times That horrendous script of course similar to MoS that it needed Terrio to fix it(Bravo Goyer) Ending It was a 6/10 for me, it really dissapointed me in many ways, im looking foward to the JL movie but please Warner bros fire Zack snyder out of this.
-
Why, of all people, did they get him to to play Lex?
-
Edited by Myth: 3/25/2016 6:38:36 AMBen Affleck was great but the suit looked ugly . The suit just looks so lame compared to the sweet Batsuits we've been seeing in the Arkham games. Also the fat bat logo isn't as good. Doomsday looked more like an ogre from Lord of the Rings than Doomsday.

They made batman a murderer. If my friend hadn't been there i would have walked out of the movie hall.
-
They do this to themselves. Warner Brothers hired -blam!-ing -blam!-ING -blam!-ing David S Goyer to write this script, and they insisted on shoving in Wonder Woman, The Death of Superman story, a bunch of Justice League advertising... They brought this on their own heads and if they even listened for a second to their audience they could have avoided pouring almost $1billion overall into a trainwreck of an attempt at a movie universe. Honestly as much as I'm a DC fanboy, this doesn't hurt me one bit. It does break my heart that batfleck, who is perfection, is going to be wasted on this, but I don't even feel bad about how this whole thing is going to crash and burn. As Alfred once said, "there's nothing worth saving here".

Who's your first favorite?
-
I hear its an 8/10
-
This movie was a very fun movie especially if you are a dc fan and have waited a long time. This movie definitely had problems but overall I enjoyed my time watching it. I feel it is over criticized for the most part. But Zach Snyder didn't do the greatest job but he isn't directing every movie from here on out. Like suicide squad, wonder woman, and batman for sure he isnt. I believe the overall general audience will love what they see
-
I feel like Jesse really got the crazy across but was overdoing it
-
So your saying it will live up to my rather low expectations?
-
I'ma go see it later tonight but I figure you're right already because as much as I want to like the DC films they just seem to drop the ball on the regular. I mean Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor? who thought that was a good idea?
-
It was a little busy, especially when batman had weird ass visions and there was graffiti on robins suit for an unexplained reason. I wanted more about that because they showed it a lot in the trailers. And how batman wanted to desperately kill superman and was one spear thrust away from killing him then suddenly became friends with him just because their moms have the same name, that part felt very forced. Loved gal gadot as Wonder Woman and I honestly liked eisenberg as lex Luthor. The ending fight was a little funny because you see ww and superman going all in on doomsday and batmans standing from a safe distance shooting gas canisters. One thing I didn't see coming in this movie was the teasers for cyborg, flash, and aquaman. That was a very pleasant surprise and honestly one of my favorite parts in the movie. I feel like they went a little crazy with the special effects, but I think they did that to emphasize the destruction that these battles cause. I thought it was a good movie and I'm looking forward to WW and justice league part 1 both in 2017

That's because Zack Snyder is a worst director than Michael Bay. I wonder how good transformers could have been if it had a decent director. I'm still excited for the (2018) Batman movies that's suppose to be directed by Ben Affleck. Affleck is one of the best directors In Hollywood. I hope they either go with the "Under The Redhood" or "The Killing Joke" storyline. They could probably get that kid from Maze Runner to play Red Hood, get Jake Gyllenhaal to play Night Wing
