I just thought of this idea and was looking to see what people think about it!
What if: You equip viking funeral and it takes away the damage done by the firebolt itself and just applies the burn.
This would still make it super powerfull, but it wouldn't turn you into a oneshot by one grenade.
They could also just take away the perk.
2nd idea:
The closer you were to the centre of the grenade on impact, the more the burn does, with the max of doing the same damage as now.
Again, just some idea's I'm not looking to 'kill' your subclass, I'm just looking for a balanced idea!

My thing is, they are called grenades. How many grenades kill on use? Firebolts aren't the only grenade in the game with a burn. Sunbreaker has one. They already nerfed the range on firebolt awhile ago. If you want to remove all burns or dots fine, but this nitpicking every class to death is getting old. Give every class a version of every grenade type and let the player chose what he would like to use. You lose the character of individual classes but it sounds like most people complaining only want you to play with what ever class they are. The only complaint I've ever had is the green shit on my screen from thorn. But, I'm not xX420yoloswagmlgXx as most.

Longer duration for Solar Grenades. Basically, a combination of Annihilate and Vortex Mastery. Radiant Will has the bonus effect of boosting recovery for you and nearby allies while Radiance is active. Radiance recharges faster (kinda like the Gunslinger's Gunfighter perk). Solar Wind does AoE damage like Discharge, but pushes away surrounding enemies as well. Brimstone releases a small explosion on hit that damages and blinds enemies nearby enemies.

Does the dot affect all players who are hit? I don't use sunsinger that much.

I say don't nerf anything. I'm not very good at crucible. In fact my DTR Crucible High Skill Level is 11. I don't know what that means but I'm sure it's not good at all. But I don't think anything should be nerfed. You know how to stop Viking funeral? Blast em before they get you. It's a melee for christ's sake. How are people gonna bitch about a defensive attack when Titans have an unstoppable super? They are the only guardians with an unstoppable super and I don't think that should be nerfed either.

What's the burn time like 12 seconds or something crazy? Cut that down to like 8, no let's chop it in half. Let's make the grenade tracking distance a bit less, like 80% what it is. Boom still a good grenade and not easy mode kills.

Hey I got something for ya. Even if they take away/ Nerf Viking Funeral there still is ANOTHER burning perk for SS. Most SS's have both equipped. And I have almost full discipline. So I can spam grenades if i wanted. Even in Radiance it won't do anything but repeatedly give me grenades without them having to recharge. See my point? It doesn't matter what you do. But SS isn't op.

Nerf the firebolts to the ground. The fact you can hit someone with 1 MIDA shot and then just spam a nade to finish off the kill is stupid.

You cant one shot with it ever. How about we just make it simple. The issue is the DOT lasts forever. Simple solution? DOT rate doubled, number of "ticks" and damage does not. BOOM. Mind blown I know.

In the stream it was asked "Will there be subclass rebalancing?" To which there was a swift "Oh yes most definitely." That means either unused subclasses (sun breaker, defender, voidwalker *maybe* blade dancer) will get a buff or the one glaringly dominant subclass (sunsinger) will get a nerf. Knowing bungie and their lack of intelligence or motivation to do anything that takes more than 2 days to complete in the studio, I'm sure they will only touch sunsingers seeing as how it is 1/5 the work for the same effect.

I think the funniest part about this is that you think VF and ToF firebolts are a one-hit kill. Even with 2 perks they can't kill by themselves. Go ahead and nerf it. You'll all be crying soon as the true god emerges from slumber. THE AGE OF FUSION GRENADES IS COMING.
