Hey,
I just thought of this idea and was looking to see what people think about it!
What if: You equip viking funeral and it takes away the damage done by the firebolt itself and just applies the burn.
This would still make it super powerfull, but it wouldn't turn you into a oneshot by one grenade.
They could also just take away the perk.
2nd idea:
The closer you were to the centre of the grenade on impact, the more the burn does, with the max of doing the same damage as now.
Again, just some idea's I'm not looking to 'kill' your subclass, I'm just looking for a balanced idea!

Viking funeral increases burn time and damage... So why not just have the default damage instead of reducing it? Or better yet, DO NOTHING BECAUSE IT'S FINE AS IT IS.

FFS its a solar class That means you are harnesing and bending the sun to your will Titans have hammer of sol ( sun hammer ) Hunters haven golden gun that shoots solar bullets The solar class is meant to be powerful Its the fricken SUN If you sunbath and get burnt doese the burn stop when you go indoors ? No it continues. So when you get incinerated stop crying ask mummy to rub some lotion on it and try again.

Didn't feel like reading but burn should just stop health regen when in pvp. That'll make thorn and all burns ok in pvp.

Why do people butch more about things that were nerfed. Not necessarily talking to op I see more shotgun nerf posts More firebolt nerf posts(it did more damage and had a larger radius More bitching about thorn when its nowhere near as string as in y1 [spoiler]why?[/spoiler]

Issue with that is, everyone will choose the two grenades option and that will be the meta.... The grenade all up needs it's damage reduced so it takes at least 2 shots to kill instead of the one

2nd Idea is what I was thinking. The closer the grenade is to you the more effective it is. Why should it do maximum damage from any distance within the radius? I think if you want to do maximum damage with a firebolt you need to land it as close to someone as an incendiary 170 hit. Also reduce the radius. Make the ticks pass faster (like wayyy faster, triple)

Heres an idea most grenades kill u trip mines fusion grenades etc stop freaking complaining about a grenade that doesnt kill u instantly its bogus!!!

All the grenades are balanced except for the warlock fusion grenade it can Rez kill with both burns on and the only grenade that needs nerfed is the bladedancer skip grenade it's so hard to miss ppl with that

Recovery should start immediately after the burn is over or the burn ticks should be reduced. It is definitely OP in 3v3. Bungie will kill it like they did Sunbreaker because nobody can agree up with common sense suggestions.

Since TTK, I've been killed only three times by what you all are complaining about. Then again, I run enough armor to not be killed by a tripmine grenade.

I thibk do the DoT damage quicker. Same damage and stuff but the quicker you tank the burn, the quicker you can recover, the quicker you can get back in action.
