Just wanted some clarification here in regards to the Sunsinger's Radiance super. I've read in numerous places that Radiance will generate 1-2 orbs when killing normal enemies and 4-8 on Major/Ultra's. However, is this a 100% chance to create an orb? Most of what I have read seems to imply this but my actual experience with Radiance is quite different. It seems to me that killing an enemy in Radiance gives me a "chance" to spawn an orb.
Clearly there is a mechanic here that I am not understanding, can I get some clarification here please?

The 2.0 patch reduced orb creation across the board. Not only did they reduce the number of orbs per super but they also reduced the number of orbs generated per kill based on the rank of each enemy and the super archetype used. i.e. Majors in year one yielded four orbs upon a super kill, but now they yield three. Bosses yielded six orbs but now yield five. Also if you are a bladedancer, stormcaller or sunbreaker then the number of orbs per kill is reduced further.

Guaranteed with majors to spawn 4 orbs (5 with nemesis helmet) with my experience running Crota a million times and having warlocks kill 2 Knights for 9 orbs I'm not sure about the mechanic with regular enemies
