That is true and I have had it happen, so I know how much it sucks. But let's be fair, this game works as a real time environment for multiple players. You can't pause that. Soloing a strike or a solo mission it could work, but the mechanics of the game still doesn't allow for a pause. Key thing though, if you can't return in the time it takes to get booted, you don't have time to be playing.
