This is just an idea for Halo 6.
In the next entry in the Reclaimer Saga, I wanna see some cybernetic enemies created from those who would rebel against the Created's rule of the Galaxy. I already have a backstory for them.
As punishment for rebellion against the tenants of the Mantle Of Responsibility, humans who r captured by the Created would meet a fate worse than death or composition. The poor souls would be brutally transformed into slaves, with advanced Forerunner cybernetics being painfully grafted to the victim's body, and with their minds being brainwashed. The victims would be transformed into killing machines that're far more deadly than the mechanized Promethean forces. Equipped with cloaking devices and advanced Forerunner weaponry, these cyborgs r ready for any enemy that might threaten The Created's rule. These cyborgs could've been brothers, sisters, wives, or husbands that foolishly rebelled against Cortana. This would act as a perfect psychological, demoralizing tool to quell future uprisings. It would leave people who face them emotionally and psychologically scarred.
Whataya think?!

I utterly despise what 343 has done with Cortana. I'm half-expecting the next game to end with an epic space battle between her and a revived Mendicant Bias (found by one of the fireteams), in which John volunteers to go blow her up or something, just so he can see her one last time. Then he redeems her, and they share one last moment together before 343 kills them both and makes Locke and Serena the new stars of the franchise. Also, Forge is only playable with a mouse and keyboard.

After the utter disappointment that was Halo 5, what I thought was going to be a grittier, more down to earth manhunt type of story and instead was an over-the-top snore fest, I'm not looking forward to Halo 6 in the slightest.
-
Eh... No. Sorry, it just doesn't fit.

Edited by The First Aifos: 3/25/2016 1:50:45 PMNo offense but that's like going from generic sci-fi shooter, to uber generic sci-fi shooter.. I'd rather have the Flood return. (they were wiped out so stupidely..)
-
What you just described is lethally what a Promethean is only as you stated "more advanced"
-
I want space bugs aka star ship troopers. All halo needs
-
I've given up on 343's ability to make a good campaign. I've been a die hard fan since the beginning and I don't even want to finish halo 5, it's not good
-
Go back to elites
-
I want to see mendicant bias in h6

Edited by Onxide: 3/23/2016 2:00:27 PMI have this very strong feeling that the Didact will return in Halo 6 to help combat Cortana. Not to help humanity but more of "the enemy of my enemy" sort of relationship, only to turn against them again once he has the chance.
-
Will the flood be back? Since she's going to another Halo. There's flood containment facilities on every Halo right?
-
That's more of a flood Way to do things. And besides this effect is already achieved composing. However I will give you one point on this idea.
In the book Halo: Hunters in the Dark, a monitor did what you are describing to a single human. He did this however not out of spite or to control the human but because the man was dying. The monitor could not even force it on him, he had to ask his permission before he could do it. Objectively however this man couldn't kill Spartan Vale when she was a simple scientist in nothing but a lab coat, where as the Forerunner Armatures almost killed the elites that were on the Ark.
So I don't think it's likely, nor do I think it sounds like a very good idea if I'm being honest.
-
Yes. Make it an even more generic sci-fi shooter.
-
I don't think that's how Cortana does things...
-
I personally think that idea sounds worse than Composing everyone. Not worse as in a worse fate, but worse as in it would make for a less interesting story. Turning people into monster cyborgs sounds like a warped version of the Spartan program, which would make Cortana like Halsey. And I think Cortana would hate the idea of being like Halsey.
-
Make halo 6 good
-
It's just an idea. U don't have to like it or hate it.
-
Aren't promethians already cyborgs?
