Well I see your point but Angry Joe also tells you what problems the game has and shows them in video and just goes much more in depth. It is essentially like a friend telling you what is good and bad about a game. You may not like the number rating but explanations about problems in this game.make his reviews more in depth than most I've seen. This one on the division was 30 plus minutes I believe. These do help out people who hate buying and selling games and losing money.

I'm not saying critic reviews have no purpose. I'm saying it's ridiculous that people are judging the merit of a game on the number someone stuck on it. And, even more so, using those numbers to say one game is better than another. While there are certain cases of a game being better than another game (see anything vs ET), 98% of the time, it's subjective. Yes, reviews are a good way to find out what was done well or poorly in a game, but again, it's absurd to use those reviews to compare games. Go play them and make up your own mind, you know?

I agree with you on the number rating, it doesn't make sense to follow that because it can be different for everyone. But other than that lIke you said it's good to hear these people that put many hours into game giving us info on all the problems and good things that the game does. I think we're in the same page , number ratings shouldn't be followed , but explanations about the problems with the game or what the game does right can be up to a certain point.
