you could find plenty of links, but really you could just log into the game.
the "raid" which is called Incursion is already in the game and on the map (lower right corner).
http://gamingbolt.com/the-divisions-first-incursion-revealed
no real details about it. it was really just my take on how the raid will turn out.
based on the fact that they could do nothing other than boost the hp and add more enemies in Challenge mode compared to normal. I feel the raid will basically be the same, more enemies with more health. nothing actually different

Don't forget the lack of mechanics. Every boss is just sitting there shooting a bit at a time.
-
excluding the helicopter, there really are only 3 bosses. turret guy, flamethrower guy, or sniper guy. so yea they are pretty lacking in mechanics
-
Even then, they don't have mechanics. I mean, I guess you could say the turret controls on the chopper are mechanics but... Some people couldn't even figure out how to use the turret controls the first time though and killed the chopper without them. *not many realize there's a mini console near it and were trying to use the turret itself originally*.
-
Wait so people like those stupid boss mechanics that force you to play one, maybe two ways? I can't stand that shit
-
Be yet you like sitting in one spot with nothing happening?
-
What game has that?
-
The Division? The cover doesn't get destroyed. You find one good spot and you can sit there forever.
-
Not in the challenges. Typically just ends up with nothing but grenades in the spot. Of course in all the other difficulties cover isn't really even needed. Just rush and drop.
-
there is a turret to shot the helicopter with? I always just shot at it normally, killed it tons of times. I was saying more like, all the flamethrower bosses are slow moving, long range. (aka you just joust them around the room) turret guys are just wait for their turret gun (or machine gun whatever it is) to run out of bullets and shot him until he brings it back up. they are all the same
-
Heh point proven ;) But yes. That's courtyard where you originally hacked the turrets to your side. If you go around and activate them they do a sizable amount of damage before the helicopter shoots them and they get destroyed. Next time you go through *it was a hard daily yesterday* head up top near one of the turrets and there's a small console to interact with for the extra damage.

What's the boss mechanics in the strikes in destiny? Aside from the newest ps exclusive that every leaves as soon as it start.
-
it's not so much the mechanics in the strikes, it's the variety. Bond Brothers is very different fight than Akul (or however you spell him). and those are very different than Undying mind. and all those are different from other ones
-
Edited by samwenchester: 3/20/2016 1:18:01 AMYes, after a year they added some stuff. I feel like the division has a much much better start than destiny did, and I hope they can keep up the momentum, however I don't feel like comparitives are fair as they are 2 completely different games for different type gamers. They both could learn alot from eachother. Ubisoft has always been a stickler for details, and bungie has always been the same about cool mechanics and game play style.
-
lol even at the start the strikes had much more of a variety. not to mention the Nightfall, which is a strike But with added mechanics that either help or hurt you. they didn't just boost hp of enemies and add more. they changed it.
-
Edited by samwenchester: 3/20/2016 1:24:54 AMWell I'd say that adding burns and a kick to orbit isn't actually a mechanic. I don't think any strike has mechanics aside for the ps exclusive one with the big harpy. They just have different bosses with different abilities . deploying your ghost and protecting him when he can't be killed isn't a mechanic. The raids have mechanics.. but still even today's nightfalls don't have mechanics they just add more enemies and give them way more health and sheilds. They add yellow bar enemies = adds more health, then give em sheilds. More health. Destiny really hasn't advanced any over the year, and division is new. So you can't really compare.
-
lol what would you call adding burns? if not a mechanic. and yes, they added more enemies with more health, but they also still added mechanics. and even different bosses with different abilities is more variety than Division bosses. Division is a good game with so much potential, but they failed big time on boosting up difficulties
-
More of a modifier than a mechanic.
-
Wait. No adding burns makes you take more damage and deal more if you have said burn. And in the division the higher difficulties the enemies automatically do more damage amd you do more damage by switching you skills and abilities. Ok so destiny added burn mechanics and the division have them built in. Same thing. But no I don't consider adding burns a mechanic. Mechanics are things required to advance the fight or hurt the boss in a substantial way. Like activating the big turrets to take down a helicopter. That's a mechanic. But still the 2 games are apples and oranges. They are both very good in there own way, though division has a much better start than destiny did upon release. And it may go opposite, destiny got better, the division might get worse. Who knows. Two different Un comparable games.
-
lol pls sure. switching from your heal and your heal station doesn't make you do more damage. Division doesn't have mechanics built it. there is no way to say it does. so stop trying. and by your definition of a mechanic that wouldn't be one. cause I have killed the helicopter several times without activating the big turrets. so they aren't "required", therefore in your eyes it's not a mechanic.
-
Your talents give you diff added boost to damage. You are correct it is not required to use the turrets to take out the helicopter. Nor is it required to use burn weapons to kill a boss. And why isn't increased damage output and aggro assault by enemies in higher difficulties not a mechanic? It's only in dailies and challenges so why isn't it a built in mechanic. Not any different than the added health and sheilds of nightfall enemies and burn. One thing I hate about destiny and always have is the synthetic hard mode raids that's only made harder because they take away revives. I wonder how the raid in division will be, since it's required to use full strategy to complete a daily or challenge. with the added enemy aggro you have to use certain skills and roles just to complete those, so I wonder what the raid will be like. Probably the same but harder.
-
Edited by Bob: 3/20/2016 1:59:23 AMlol it is way different. Changing how enemies work and fight in a nightfall (with burns or the many other mechanics) is completely different than the same enemies just with more health. and have you ever even done Kings Fall hard? they even added mechanics to hard mode other than taking away revives. and full strategy? I do the challenge mode without even talking to any of the other 3 random people I am with 5 times a day. if it's hard I don't even really take cover behind stuff Edit: what you are describing is basically switching your subclass in Destiny.
-
You're a liar, you do not do challenge mode like that. And yes I've done everything destiny has to offer. Day one player I love destiny. I can't be bothered with challenge mode in Kf though. I got tired of hard mode when I realized the weapons were exactly the same just diff color. Anyway, if you do challenge mode the way you say in the division you would have to have 500k health or more as well as 200k more of dps. So unless you have video proof I will call you a liar, my best friend has 150 dps and still can't kill a challenge enemy fast even woth team fire. Also it's not possible yet to have that much health and dps. Oh and saying destiny adds burns "and many other mechanics" do you care to name these other mechanics? Because excluding the raids and the one strike there aren't any that I know of. And yes adding burn is the exact same thing ass enemies having alot higher dps in higher modes. Oh and if you have 200k health you will still die withing a few seconds out of cover even standing in a heal station. I'm begining to think you have only watched streams of the division and not played, or you wouldn't have made that statement. There isn't a single player who can stand out of cover like that in challenge mode or daily mode. Unless you have all you stats into fire arms only and don't take a single bullet. But I doubt it.
-
Edited by Bob: 3/20/2016 2:06:47 AMnevermind, I already looked at your profile and I can tell you never did kings fall hardmode, so you don't know of the added mechanics. and lol I wasn't saying I don't use cover in challenge mode. I was saying I don't use cover in hard mode. have you even played Division as well? cause there is a difference. but I do challenge mode pretty easily without having to talk "strategy" with anyone else on my team. we just quickly power through, and my stats aren't even that great compared to other people that I have been seeing. Edit: and it is pretty possible to have that. People are claiming almost 300k dps with 100k hp already
-
Thank you for proving my point for me and not answering any of the question and showing your age.. I was through hard mode kf withing the first 6 hours of its opening then sherpa quite a few teams through it, though i couldnt get alot of them completed cause i like to sherpa 3 or 4 at the same time. Ok you obviously didn't look at my character. Shall I equip my 319 mirin with firefly. Don't look at my alts. Look at my only warlock thats leveled. Hard mode in the division can be done easily like that. But challenge mode cannot. Yes, I been playing division exclusively since beta then release. you Cannot power through challenge mode unless everyone is near max everything. And that's very rare to find. So as you've now proved youre just arguing for the sake of it and cannot hold an actual convo, I'll say again, check my charater again I spent 2 weeks running hard then stopped cause it sucks. No further communication will be had with me don't bother. If you'd like to prove your statements you're welcome to though I know you cannot, nor can you answer my questions. Have a good day. Maybe I'll see ya around when new destiny content releases.

Or you have four Smart Cover users! Can sorta power thru, but still not out of cover!
