For those who prefer the ranked
matchmaking, why not implement a playlist specifically for that? Divisions divide players from the weak, and from the strong. Based on divisions (explained later) players will battle based on their skill level.
[b][u]How it works[/u][/b]
Players cannot join in a fireteam, this is to avoid players decimating opponents below their division. Based on stats, players are primarily categorised into 10 different divisions. Losing enough matches will demote down (1 being the best, 10 being the worst). Winning will promote you, allowing you to compete with more tough opponents. You will not join games in progress. In addition, leaving games will have a 10min penalty for leaving - this makes games more competitive as it should be 3 v 3 throughout the game.
[b][u]Divisions[/u][/b]
Simple. Players who are the best will be marked with division 1; this is based on stats like K/D, matches won, recent games etc. Stats are only measured from the ranked playlist, not determined elsewhere.
[b][u]Mechanics[/u][/b]
This activity runs from Tuesday - Friday, replacing Trials in the competitive playlist. The games will be classic 3 v 3 (featuring TTK maps as well, but not the large maps like Crossroads). As usual, it's best to 5000 (timer increased to 20min instead of 10min). Every game awards a win, best of 3 grants a win. Every win, alongside other stats, will help account to a promotion to be next division, to play hard!
[b][u]Map Voting[/u][/b]
At the beginning of every match, one team will randomly select a map granted on the options. For example, team A pick Drifter. The next game team B will choose and so forth. If it's 1-1 game all, the final match will be extended to 6000 with the same timer limit (best of 3).
[b][u]Restrictions[/u][/b]
Heavy will spawn once a match, with only one crate; teams will fight to control the one crate spawned. There will be adjustments to heavy such as a little less heavy amok gained for machine guns, but that's it.
Cannot be in a fireteam for obvious reasons, people could decimate and earn their places in higher divisions due to teamwork rather than initial skill.
Switching special weapons don't grant additional ammo, this will avoid Ice Breaker glitches.
Grenades, melee are increased by 10sec in timer to prioritise gunfights. In addition, special crates will only provide 3 bullets, 4 with additional ammo.
This is for players who want a more competitive environment; the tournament will be hosted during the week, replaced by Trials during the weekend. Please bump if you agree, I'm open for discussion!
