I'm worried that April Update won't do anything to fixing (or inform us more about) Destiny's Main Lore and Backstory. With each DLC that they have released they reveal lore stories about the other races, NPCs, and other things. That is true but they have left us still clueless when it comes to the lore of two key figures to Destiny's world. That's The Darkness and The Traveler. Whatever is happening in Destiny's Universe is or has been linked to those two. Yet the only things we know about them are: - The Traveler was discovered in Mars and he/she/it helped Humans achieve their Golden Age. - The Darkness and The Traveler are mortal enemies. - The Darkness caught up to The Traveler on our Solar System. They fought. - During the fight The Darkness, I can only assume, is about to do something bad that The Traveler felt he/she/it had to give burn through his/her/it's power to protect us. - Whatever The Darkness did caused The Traveler to go into a coma but in return he/she/it somehow cause The Darkness to back off and regroup. To where? We don't know. Outside of those things we don't really know anything else. The guy who supposed to know that information The Traveler's useless man-servant who wants to remain nameless but just be called The Speaker refuse to tell us anything. Which is dumb and stupid, because if this was real life I would probably tell him to go to hell for asking me to risk my second chance in life to help The Traveler without telling me anything else except that I need to help protect someone or something that I know nothing of against an enemy I also know nothing of. We've been fighting enemies who's been branded as minions of Darkness but yet so far we've killed many of their high ranking leaders and God Kings none of whom ever mentioned anything about working for or any knowledge about The Darkness. I'm sorry but did I miss a Grimoire card that could've given me those info or am I going crazy? This update they have a great chance to fix that specially if we're supposed to fight against the Taken still. Last time I checked I already killed Oryx and he was the only one who had control over the Taken. The Taken aren't like the Hive who showed some degree of having their own free will. The Taken had one master and only did one thing, that's whatever Oryx wanted them to do. What they can do is finally introduce to us The Darkness, an actual entity who somehow gained the same powers that Oryx had, which was the ability to Take and concert his enemies to one of his Taken Army. They can even beef it up a bit by giving the Darkness the ability to "take" and corrupt weakened guardian effectively killing that Guardian's Ghost and turning him into a Dark Guardian. Heck at this point I won't even care if I have to read the lore from a Grimoire cards. At least this way I at least would know who is my real enemy and who are my real allies and just what is their deal. Destiny's lore so far has been like reading a Harry Potter book except the book doesn't tell you just who the hell is Harry Potter and why was he important. Heck I would pay $30 for this update just tell me the lore for the two key figures.
