He can't regenerate from nothing.
-
Eeh, if you take physics in He is just energy, also same goes for his life cycles. Which means he would never truly be nothing and in the end be able to regenerate
-
Proof?
-
Proof? It is literally the base of the show that the doctors regenerative powers are energy?
-
The Doctor has only been able to regenerate when his body is intact, he can still die if his body is to heavily damaged.
-
Havent been proven the controuary tho
-
You haven't proven otherwise. Where has it been stated he can regenerate from nothing?
-
It never has, but it has only been stated that the doctor can be killed if he is killed mid regen. Which means that a shot from a lazer would vapprize him and his energy would still be existing and regenerating because of the time force. See: impossible girl, her body was turned into dust and materialized throughout the doctors life with help from the time force
-
But she was not a Time lord. Plus she didn't do it by herself.
-
No, not what i was saying just saying that the time force can materialize something from energy. And since the doctors regeneration is caused by the time force its common sense that the doctor eventually will crawl out
-
I just realized that this is pointless, even if he can regen he still died, his regen is a "new" Doctor.
-
I know, i was waiting for this comment the whole time.... Guilty of troll

-
Thats the point buddy, thats the point
-
Proof?
Conservation of energy. Energy cannot disappear or be created, supposedly.
-
I mean proof that he can regenerate from energy.
-
Matter = energy ^ The basis, I believe.
-
So by that logic I should be perfectly fine if vaporized and just heal?
-
No, because you have no regenerative abilities.
-
I want a citation that says he can regenerate without a body.
