I don't know why people complain about content in destiny, the game is like 1 1/2 years old, did you guys not already get you're money's worth? we should be grateful we are still even getting free small updates and DLC,

GTA is a year older and still releases free updates more consistently. I fail to see why you should be grateful for something mediocre.
-
Because bungie doesn't have to make any more content if they wanted to, they already sold us the game, doesn't matter if you like it, bungie and rockstar are 2 very different companies btw
-
You said they should be grateful though. That's what we're discussing. Why should they be grateful for mediocrity?
-
They should be grateful because bungie is giving into they're content demands, when you bought destiny And the DLC you got what you paid for, and still people keep asking for way to much, it's also doesn't mater if you like it or call it mediocre, you got what you paid for
-
I've never seen one person on these forums demand to take 7 months to release content.
-
They don't have to release content if they don't want to is my point, but they are because to many salty butt hurt kids keep threatening them
-
They do if they claim this is a 10 year franchise. Otherwise no one will buy their game anymore.
-
Edited by Vo1dWalk3r_: 3/18/2016 2:36:06 PMThey never ever confirmed it was a 10 year plan with destiny, it was a 10 year plan with Activision, which is on it's like 6th year I think
-
And if that plan fails to produce anything of value in under 7 months, there's no point in it.
-
Well destiny 2 and the next big DLC might make or break they're contract
-
Paid 60 bucks for World of Warcraft same as Destiny. Got 40 hours out of that compared to 8 hours of Destiny. That is what it took to hit 60 no expansions, just the base game. Paid 60 dollars for Witcher 3. Paid 60 for Fallout 4. Paid 60 for Diablo 3. Paid 40 for The Last of Us Remastered (same price as for Taken King) Still got more content than the Taken King. I get free content all the time with GTAV and you can do FAR more in GTAV. ALL Destiny is loading and shooting things. That's it. It's not hard to add content to such a simple game. Just saying.
-
If you only got 8 hours of destiny that's you're problem
-
Ok that statement just sounds desperate.
-
What? I don't understand
-
It's an issue with most players. Not to the extent of complaint but Destiny is slop compared to Bungie's previous works. I wonder sometimes if the talent stayed at Microsoft or was fired by them.
-
LOL hey you want to do the same thing over and over and over again and call that content then you must play Call of Duty. We talking real content. Not a rat maze. Go play in a square box shooting others and leave the real content to those that choose to play outside of it. I am not a bit surprised you are so easily amused.
-
How long did it take you to beat the game before you started repeating the same shit over and over?
-
Well it's according. Original content about 4 to 5 hours (been awhile so not exactly sure but not long) The Dark Below (Maybe an hour and half?) The House of Wolves (about a half hour maybe a full hour along those lines) The Taken King (about 8 to 10 hours. Had more content then the entire original game. So sad.) The Taken King helped the game ALOT and I fully understand that just about ANY game is repetitive as hell. (name one that isn't.) Mind you I hardly got to raid. Used to modern games that allows raiders to gather easily without leaving the game (Think most MMos which I realize this is not but how hard is it to get a posse together for a crucible match? Raids is hardly more difficult once you know what to do and had practice doing it.) However, a good game gives the illusion you are not doing the same thing over and over. A story helps the illusion. The Music pumps you up so you don't care when you run out of story. The repetitive repeatable quests makes it feel like you are contributing to the imagined well fare of fellow guardians or the populace. (think of the clever Last of us that used Facebook to give real names and faces to those you are trying to save) No content is not repetitive. But a good game helps you not noticed it so blatantly. I really LOVE the Destiny gameplay. But for what it is we should have gotten the Taken King from the onset. For those who got the game with Taken King got the actual Value. For those of us who invested before? We were in my opinion simply taken. I know likely we will never agree but compared to Halo this game is soooo bland and dumbed down in comparison to me.

For me? Like after 20 hours on my Xbox and I'm still working on my ps4 edition
-
Edited by Sherpa: 3/18/2016 1:40:54 PM8 hours of play without replaying the same thing again and again. Way more hours spent replaying the same missions, strikes, and raids
-
And if you've only put 8 hours to the game there's still a lot you can do
-
I could repaint my wall over and over but I don't call that content either.
-
Edited by Sherpa: 3/18/2016 2:07:23 PMEh not really after 6 hours all story is done strikes are done. VoG takes one hour tops that's 7 Crota takes 30 mins top that's 7:30 KF takes 1hour 30 mins tops PoE (all difficulties combined) takes about an hour. That's 10 hours. To beat it all So after at most 11 hours you're repeating content
How about PoE, have all 3 characters, all subclass upgraded and hard mode raids, max light level, exotic hunting, nightfall?

All of that is repeating the same content (except PoE) Max light level? Play the same raid again and again Hard mode raid? Same thing as normal higher level enemies Exotic hunting? Same strikes and raids over and over Nightfall? Same strikes with modifiers Subclass? Playing the same content to upgrade it 3 characters? Do the same thing on a different character again and again until it's max light level which involves doing the same strikes again and again until high enough to raid. So normal raid again and again until high enough for hard mode. Do hard mode again and again until RNG gives you 320 After 11 hours you're repeating content That doesn't mean the content isn't fun. It just means the game is based around redoing the same thing and then reskinning that same thing instead of adding something new
