If you have the Taken King DLC does The legendary engrams from Xur upgrade to year 2 or stay at year 1?

It depends entirely on the Engram. Look closely at the title of the Engram. If it says "Exotic Engram", then it will decode into Year 2 gear. If the Engram is labeled "[i]Legacy[/i] Engram" (like the Heavy Weapon Engram this weekend) then it is going to decode into Year 1 gear. Possession of The Taken King does not change this.
