I'm going to compare apples to oranges here. I know you're not suppose to but I think I have a valid point.
I read both the Bungie weekly updates and the Halo weekly updates.
I must say when reading the Bungie updates it is more or less a recap of all the bullshit tweets and other useless information we already gathered from the events occurring in that previous week. Yes we were aware of another unpopular Stream, and we all predicted some community videos and pictures and of course the famous "We have something awesome in the works coming soon" quote in one variation or another. And that's basically what we get every week. Throw in there if some kind of patch went out there's the lame interview of who worked on it and why it was done. Well we already knew that through the patch notes that were released on Tuesday.
When I read the Halo update, it actually contains shit about the game I'm interested in. Yeah they always talk about the latest tournament which I can give two flying shits about, but that's the lamest part. Everything else contains new info about updates, playlist community featured maps that I have never seen before. And of course the golden mac 'n chese bomb dgity, new content which they are not afraid to talk about each and every freeking WEEK!!!
I'll admit, even when Bungie did make Halo they still had some pretty tight lipped updates, but at least they gave subtle hints and wrapped it in mystery for us to speculate about until the next update. It was quite fun and gave us fans something to speculate on. Theories arose and people talked. Not like now where everyone just bitches and complains (rightfully so) because we sooo sick of hearing the same bull crap week in and week out!!!!

Another week, another update saying nothing about "what they have planned."
