Sorry for the late reply, but there are plenty of clans for males. There are like 2 that I know of that are females only. Some females are not comfortable being in a clan full of males and feel like they need to practice their skills with their own gender. This clan is specifically for women only. If you want to join a clan then look for a clan that accepts males. I'm pretty sure there are more males that play Destiny than females, so people in clans are more likely to be a guy than a lady. So there for this clan is not sexist. I've been in this clan for a little bit and experienced it and it is a very nice group for us ladies. I support you Sisterhood of Guardians, my fellow (used to be in) clan.

Explain how?
-
There are no boys aloud

Not allowing males is exclusivity based around a population we want to create a safe space for, not sexism. Sexism is oppression/discrimination by the privileged sex (men) against the non-privileged sex (women).
-
Sometimes the privileged sex is females
-
The only time in history where the women were the dominant sex was in Manchu China.
-
Women may exercise privilege based on some other aspect of their identity (say race or social class, for example) or because of positional power they hold within an organizational structure. However, they do not have that privilege solely because they are female, as is the case for men in our society, and therefore that situational privilege does not begin to compare with the systematic oppression women face in our society as a whole.
-
Technically you are the privileged sex in this instance. You have the privilege to join this clan. Males do not.
-
Joining the group does not grant privilege. It allows access to other females.

It was a -blam!-ing joke

Edited by TnNikita: 3/17/2016 3:07:08 PMWhen you start trying to argue a technicality about the private right to create a space and set its admission criteria, you should probably think about whether you actually have a argument. Sexism is a societal structure of oppression, not a situational instance of exclusivity, and our gaming clan is a situational instance of exclusivity. When folks encounter a space their privilege doesn't allow them to occupy, I understand they don't like it, but perhaps they should examine where that discomfort comes from instead of trying to devalue the community we've created here.
