I heard the people of Offtopic love solving basic math problems. Here's one that a fellow b.net user gave me. It's literally a 10th grade physics problem (or so I'm told, I haven't studied shit like this in years, but I was still able to solve it pretty quickly). Anyways, what does this question have to do with me? If you kids can solve it (showing full work, of course), then I might actually show you some respect in our next debate/take you seriously. Even if you don't want that, at least try to show off your intelligence. Here it is: A body at rest slides with negligible friction from point A (has height h1+h2) down a smooth curved ramp. The end of the ramp is horizontal at point B (has height h1). The body then falls from point B to the ground. Show that the body will land at a distance d from point O (ground level and aligned with point B). Put your answer in terms of d, h1, and h2. PM me your work, but post just the answer on this thread.
