See subject line. Very disappointing gameplay mechanics.

Edit: I have reversed my position. This game is tits!
-
I have to agree. I ran all of the story missions and most of the events and I'm barely at level 25. It's boring as hell and I don't see myself grinding encounters to hit level 30. Destiny clone with TPS gamelay. The story makes about as much sense as well. Except the external grimoire.
-
I have to agree. I got tired of running for 5-10 mins. Ducking behind a wall. Emptying 3 magazines. Then, being hit by 5-7 bullets, and dying before I could heal. I played with some friends, and they got tired of it too. We only lasted for a few hours. We came back to Destiny. Division would have been better if it was fps. I think it was way overhyped, just like Destiny was.
-
Funny, Destiny has Grimoire that can only be veiwed on B.net. The Division has intel which is thesame as Grimoire except that has real recordings and videos and you can read it all IN GAME. This only shows Bungie's lack of care for their game.
-
hated it first 10 levels but then it got more and more fun, now im lvl 30 with lots of purple gear. it has many features i have missed in destiny, such as more good drops and reforge of all gear.
-
I couldn't disagree more. We need more games like Division. We evolved from mindless joysticking in arcades for a reason. Whether you like the Division or not, it is that reason. Aside from that, I actually enjoy very much, Divisions third person mechanics.
-
Some people are too young to understand what kind of game this is. It's rated m for a reason ( unlike destiny ) so it's meant for the older group that played these types of games before. Don't pull the bullshit " I'm an adult with a kid and a wife and was in the army " cause any adult ( besides streamers who earn money from destiny ) would have left for division by now.
-
It's fun popping in and out of cover and flanking enemies to achieve the objective. It's fairly user friendly as far as the button lay out and inventory controls. The game doesn't take much time to learn how to play at all. It's certainly not a perfect game, lol and anyone saying that only mature players can enjoy it to the fullest are just silly. I've been going back and fourth between destiny and the division since the division came out. Definitely nothing world shattering or even very innovative. But fun none the less.

I have to agree with totalbiscuit on this. We are conditioned to the fact that an ak47 would blow someone's head with one bullet yet in this game it takes few clips! They are trying to be sorta realistic but at the same time they are contradicting themselves. Yes, Destiny has bullet sponges too but being sci-fi it avoids that issue mostly since you are shooting aliens and what not who have shields etc.

What a thorough review
-
Wow. What an indepth and detailed review. I will no longer purchase the division because of this man. Am sheep, baa.
-
Then im happy to say is have fun playing destiny and ill be play the division and having fun with my friends
-
bruh..when you finally make a hunter...and finish playing this game...let's talk..... but you have one VOG completion...what maybe a handful of raid completions of all the raids combined... most of your game play is running strikes. Continue to enjoy destiny...don't worry about division sucking....get your weight up on this game first.

I know multiplication is so much easier...
:)
An option is like an asshole. Everyone has one.

The game isn't going to be for everyone. It's a proper rpg. A game genre that divides opinion. The comparison between it and destiny was always rediculous. If you're mainly into game play. The Division isn't going to blow you away. If you love rpg games however and getting that perfect gear with the stats to compliment the build for your character, well your gona get your nerd on in the division :D The detail and customization of the loot and build of characters are great. That really what you play for.
-
I like it and most of my Destiny friends are on it too. That being said....the only way Destiny dies is through suicide. It's stale now but one big update and we're all back, but I don't think Division sucks...its just different. My big complaint is that The Division is glitchy and problematic. I'll give it a pass for awhile cause it's right at the launch but they have a lot of problem solving over at Massive.

Edited by Lordsa Jar-Jar: 3/13/2016 9:49:40 PMTell us something we don't know. Short of the original E3 trailer, gameplay looked like crap from the start. beta just confirmed what I expected, me and many others. Sad how I'm finding myself going back to games made 5-10years ago, gaming industry has really turned to shit.
