Weapon Affinity

I had this grand idea a while back that, in order to keep Destiny "fresh", I would separate my characters by weapon types so they would feel like individual classes rather than the same character with different supers. Hunter - hand cannon / sniper Warlock - scout / fusion Titan - auto (or pulse) / shotgun Has worked out great so far and have sunk countless hours into this game as well as resetting two of my characters just to change their looks (current project - releveling Titan strictly through Crucible gearing and bounties) The problem is that I have no natural feel with certain weapons. Namely auto rifles and pulses. I chalk it up to crappy ability to control recoil. My poor bastard titan just runs around shooting the walls and the dirt half the time in the Crucible while the Hunter (TFC next week!)and Warlock are happily plunking away heads and dying within grand portraits of massacre. Has anyone else experienced this natural ineptitude with certain weapon types? Did you overcome it or just stick with what you like? I'm going to continue to sacrifice my Titan to the Crucible until he figures it out. Because Titan.

  • I struggle quite a bit when using something I haven't used in awhile. Or that is slightly different from what I normally use. Example when test weapons refresh and there is a crucible fusion there. At first I can't hit a damn thing but around the end of the first match I am just racking up the kills. And when I switch back to my other, better fusion I do soooo much better and feel like I have improved a little. In short yes I do struggle with new or infrequently used weapons but give me a few minutes and I'll be fine. Also it is good you want to use other guns. It proves that you value what the game has to offer and also are trying and might one day be quite skilled with any gun. Which is great especially when bungie decides to change up the established meta.
