I don't see why they're bigger than streamers who are actually good at the game like mtashed, Wish You Luck, tripleWRECK, Giggle Monstar, Gamesager, Realkraftyy or WaRbulletpoof. Can someone explain this to me? Why would you watch a streamer even though they're not that strong of a player?
UPDATE: We even beat Goth 5-2. This proves my point.

Edited by Azule: 3/10/2016 3:18:24 AMThey had a pretty decent following before Destiny was released. That's how twitch works, more viewers=more attention to their channel. Besides, you don't need to be good at a game to get viewers. You just need a combination of luck/personality/consistency. Both Broman and Goth are both really nice guys and don't take their popularity for granted(although I don't watch too much Broman, he's a bit too loud for my taste), they constantly try to grow the Destiny directory in Twitch by using their following and moving it to other streams(usually by "raiding" a fellow streamer after they're done.) -Triplewreck could have as much or maybe more views than them if he streamed more often. -Giggle does very well but he streams at very late hours and can only get so many viewers. -Wish can be very rude to viewers sometimes but he's not a bad guy, and I think many conceive him to be a dick -Mtashed is more of a YouTuber isn't he? I don't believe he streams often either -Gamesager is the same reason as Giggle, although he isn't as big as him -Realkrafty is doing VERY well, he streams quite a bit and has a great personality -War hasn't been streaming consistently on twitch very long, but his winnings in tourneys have made him grow very quickly You don't have to be good at the game to get a large following on twitch. Especially in Destiny, there are many players that are good at the game and try to stream it. Being just good at the game doesn't make a player unique enough to get attention.

Nothing like 45 year olds spending all of their time on destiny

Because not all streamers are good at the games they play. Personality is also important. I'm an up and coming streamer, with a meager 4 followers, all from my first stream, so I'm proud of that at least, but honestly they have personality and charming character. The others you brought up aren't as likable due to their personalities being a bit less popular. Also, I run PoE on my streams, and mayhem rumble. I don't enjoy destiny PVP much, but mayhem is SUPER fun! (See what I did there???) And you know what? I don't have an Xbox mic anymore, and no replacement. I won't get another one for a while, in all likelihood, so I have to run these activities and interact through chat. I won't ask anyone to follow me, but feel free to check out my previous streams to see what kind of player I am, and see my lack of skill. In all honesty, I want to get more followers, but I won't beg. I want to earn the followers, and until I get a proper setup, I feel like anyone who follows me will find my personality to be too strange. (I suffer from social anxiety) My twitch is twitch.tv/maxesmagic

I don't watch streams, but if I did, I'd rather watch someone entertaining than someone good. Maybe that's why he's so popular, but I don't know for sure, since I've never watched him.
-
Brothalion Check Broman's YouTube videos and then check Gothalion's. There's minimal diversity as the two are like-for-like. If you've watched one of them, you've watched the other by default.
-
Because they basically built the entire Destiny community on twitch. They were there on day one and worked harder and better than everyone else. They developed a strategy that built up the community rather than attempting to divide it for selfish reasons, as often happens in other gaming communities. Those skilled streamers would be playing BLOPS or some other garbage if it weren't for Goth and Broman.

Twitch is for losers who sit back and watch others become rich and successful in life while they just coast thru Twitch streamers - republicans Twitch watchers - democrats.
-
What's a Broman and Gothalian
-
-
Goth seemed like a Tool.
-
It's a thing called personality. Why would I want to watch a god who barely ever interacts with the chat?
-
Because Broman is rank #2 trials in the world
-
Best players on the game tbh.
-
They've been streaming for years.
-
They are funny plus
mtashed and every other pvp streamer are whiny idiots who have an excuse for every death
-
Because Gothalion is really entertaining to watch. He's funny and can have a actual conversation unlike the others who just curse and get super salty when they loose in PvP.
-
Because they can relate to them with their lack of skill.
-
People watch Gothalion and Broman because they care about the streamer, not necessarily the skill within the game that's being streamed. Those two are focused on building a positive community that focuses primarily on fun, rather than streaming a sweaty sweatfest of sweat in the crucible 24/7.
-
Cuz they do not have to be good at the game or even like it, they just have to sell and play every game that will get them followers and subscribers Welcome to the Real World jack@ss
-
Yeah. Both of them are pretty annoying. Scrubs watch scrubs I guess
-
I started watching goth the first night I downloaded twitch. I found him to be extremely entertaining and I've never been one to be entertained while watching someone else play video games. His music selection and the way he jokes around and not taking things too seriously all make him fun to watch. Give me that instead of a guy who's an mlg dude who just plays nonstop crucible not trying to be entertaining whatsoever
-
It's funny that krafty will carry goth in trials but goth will twice as many viewer's.
-
Never heard of any of these people
-
I don't know why isn't Datto popular?
-
People like their personalities. I still cannot get over their excessive loudness. That's why there is PD
-
Because Destiny isn't the only game they play or stream.
