Bring back the memories of a fun nightfall, A nearly invincible Devil Walker in the beta, heavy went away on death, cryptarch didn't sell shit or give rewards, vanguard/crucible marks, the old hive tomb ship whirring sound, blades of crota, exotic bounties, normal bounties were actually difficult (varying of course), the good vex/icebreaker/ghorn/pocket infinity/last word, crappy thorn/no land beyond/invective, auto rifles were beast, nova bomb vortex lasted almost 7 seconds, 2 major kills made 8 orbs, the ability to make 9 orbs, pushing off templar/atheon, everything seemed to give shards/energy, xur was slightly relevant/xur stopped selling heavy/xur selling engrams for motes, needing so much heavy for crota/crota was hard, an old UI where everything was circles instead of diamonds, resources looked different, loot cave was around, the reef was super cool (still is... but not like it used to be, everyone went to the reef and the tower was nearly vacant), everyone had the same ghost/ghost was dubbed dinklebot, that wizard came from the moon!, you could lock your subclass for a bonus, you could trade in resources for crucible/vanguard rep, resource farming was a thing/everyone had their own little 'resource circle' on each planet, saturn was a myth, the original loading screen for Destiny was just 'Destiny', sword of Crota was only known as the 'cool blade' everyone wanted to use for that one mission on the moon, vision of confluence (a scout rifle) held 27 freaking rounds in a clip, field scout gave bonus clip ammo, Effetites Spear (the first iron banner sniper) could hold 6 shots if perked right, you could customize perks at gunsmith, etheric light was valuable, one shot people with the random extra damage round on snipers, prison of elders was some random place the archon priest came from that no one knew about, no one knew who the hell this "Oryx" was..., shanks were very scary in House of Wolves, forever 29..., raid gear had meaning, no vault space, no inventory space, you could only hold 20 synthesis in a single slot, each type of gun had their own telemetry (ie... fusions, snipes, autos, hand cannons, etc...), no one liked the double kills with fusion rifle bounty, everyone had checkpoints in missions to quickly get to easy bosses, transferring stuff between characters took 15 minutes at least, everyone was scared of the 'useless cursed chest' in VoG, what the hell does an exotic engram look like on the ground?, black hammer had unlimited ammo/kill devil walker, archon priest, sepkis, nexus, and phogoth without reloading, what was the third empty subclass slot for.../I wish I had an arc warlock..., Valus Ta'raac could not die in less than 10 minutes I swear..., yes, doing 20 strikes in a row was a thing, ghorn was the most prized gun ever, a fusion sniper rifle?!, sparrow racing was a race of 3 people from one end of the cosmodrome to the other, the Gorgons were scary and nerve racking at first, that moment with Atheon died/Crota died/Skolas died... it was amazing, black wax idols were needed, wheres' my glimmer? to... why do i have so much glimmer?, when you finally reached 800 ascendant shards..., that struggle trying to level two characters at once, "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain!", who's cyade?, SPACE MAGIC!!!, interceptors in crucible were freaking long range death machines, pikes were cool, heavy pikes were cooler, Warlocks weren't cool because 'all' we had were these bonds... that ended up actually being the most visually cool thing on a guardian, "I'm a hunter because of the cloak...", the queen gave us bounties to hunt fallen walkers only once; ever, iron banner could be played with the starter gun with no hindrance attached, Thorn became discarded to sought after to loathed to hated more than the cryptarch, everyone wanted the black shader from Dead Orbit/Arctic Proxy/God of War, Sunsetting shader was cool, Omnigul was the new famous enemy pretty much; Eris: "OMNIGUL!!!!!!!!", why is there a fancy door in the bottom of the building in the Forgotten Shore?/a fancy door in the outside of the Grottos?, everyone glitched through the rocks that could be glitched for DLC insight, Sepiks Prime had really cool music (still does, just no ones says it anymore), sparrows were hornless, everyone self destructed in their new VoG sparrow right after receiving it and going on patrol, High Priority Target patrol beacons spawned target enemies the same level as the patrol enemies, that moment when you had everything in the game... except ghorn and you sat their pondering your own existence, Hunger of Crota was the Ghorn substitute, everyone loved finally being able to shoot through hive knight darkness shields/stunning wizards, people ACTUALLY did the totem part legitimately... for a time, where cheeses were the common necessary knowledge for raids, good luck getting Void kills in crucible, I wish I could have a sword..., no one, ever, like the confluxes in VoG on hard... stupid hobgoblins..., taking a sparrow through VoG because, why not?, finding out you can kill a teammate with the sparrow... and then doing it as often as you could, also figuring out when people would shoot rockets at the archon priest... and deciding to put up a bubble shield at the perfect moment and then dancing on their deaths, everything seemed to go through a bubble shield (ie... psion blast, hunter arc blade blast), racing around for the loot chest that required the ether key after Wolf packs were defeated to see how many times you could loot the same chest (I got 4 times once), Dreg's Promise was cool for about 5 minutes, "What is it called? The Scorch Cannon... or Shrapnel Launcher?" (my friend COULD NOT get the names right for the life of him), Skolas! STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM ME!!!!!!, Variks: "Disable the mines in super small amount of time while fighting 10,000 enemies, yessss? Or you DIE!!!! BWHAHAHAHA!" (a slight change to the true dialogue... but it felt that way...), The Queen, Mara Sov, was the most intriguing character ever... and didn't say anything to you, pretty much, after vanilla Destiny (to all our sadness; also, RIP to her brother, he got so neglected... haha), that change of mood from: "I hate Vex." to "I hate Hive." to "I hate Fallen.", that first time you self res..., that first time you snipe a self res, when you could put Crota into an infinite kneel by pulling the internet cord, Ir Yut, the Deathsinger, was super hard to kill..., that moment when you think... "Why the hell did Eris only take six freaking people?", that moment you find Osiris's lab in the Lighthouse and you think "Wow... he's a bit demented after all...", the only reason we knew Mercury was a playable place was because of ONE crucible map, Atheon's innumerable glitches he used against us..., Crota's sword falling through the map every single time it seemed, having 2 swords at once and killing Crota, that moment when you first saw Crota's soul in the Crystal on the Moon..., Randal the Vandal was, in his own right, a threat worthy of 3 guardians, hiding in a corner in the laser wall room on the nightfall for Sepiks Prime with Arc Burn, getting thrown a thousand feet in the air by a cabal with a shield, the first time we got trick sparrows and that's all we wanted to do, jumping the Hellmouth with the trick sparrow/super, ... Well, that's all the ideas I have thus far that I can remember off the top of my head, but I know i still missed a bunch. I'm really tired... so I'll end it here.
