It's such a crutch it burns you for goddamn 14 seconds and that's a long time in pvp especially sweats and trials it's so annoying

After scrolling through. I've noticed that no one bothers to defend it when a post contains this info.

Well warlocks don't have a shoulder charge or blink strike so it's balanced

But still they should at least kill the opponent then get the scorch shield not just get it when it hits

Defenders shield requires kill because its a stronger shield than flame shield, which is much weaker. Also, defenders can proc it with a shotgun kill (which is easier than a melee kill)

Defenders have to get up in there to fist them and shotgun them where as warlocks have sniper for hands

Only real sniping is with stormcallers extra reach melee perk (cant remember name), although I prefer using the extra energy acquiring perk. Try extra melee range and feedback, thats when it is actually sniping, otherwise, its not going to kill very fast.
